Thanks, yeah our metro just ended their 24hr operations this past Monday. They are now open 7 days a week 7am to 11pm which is good for most.

Hi, cabbie!

We're in a big city, and none of ours carry fresh stuff.
Had a great supper and good visit with Milan - heard all about his trip and saw his pics.
He loved most of his adventure, except for camping - which he says he never will do again.
Have a lovely evening!

I wonder what part of the camping Milan did not like Natalka? I know now we could never sleep on the ground in tents like we always did with the kids for years but that is just my creaky knees talking. Sounds like the rest of the trip was great fun for him!

So I did go to shoppers at 2am and yeah no bagged salads. However they did have salads in plastic containers forget which company though. Plus I found out 1 of the main reasons why metro decided to not stay open 24 hours, too much theft during overnight.

He didn't like being on an air mattress and couldn't sleep, plus it was really cold - and he was bundled up in multi layers of clothes plus several quilts. He had borrowed a huge tent and an almost new double fancy air mattress, so it wasn't sleeping right on the ground. Oh, and not showering for three days. No restaurant.
I don't know how my oldest sister and her husband did it with three boys, each 18 months or less apart. They tented with them all through AB and BC all the time.

Well, after finally getting to sleep, I ended up sleeping only one hour and woke up with a horrid nightmare. Couldn't get back to sleep, even though my husband quelled my crying and said he'd slay the man who had broken down the door and was after me.
I'll try sleep once I wake up my husband for work.

Good morning every1. I hope you have a great day.

Nat, I've been camping all my life, can't anymore, but started as a kid, my parents took all 4 of us. We slept in two tents. My husband & I took our 2 kids, as young as 3 months of age. We didn't do any canoe / portaging trips until the youngest was about 5.
Great memories. Still wish I could. My son just left Sat. for another.

Hicks - just to show how "thick" I am, I only this weekend figured out the connection of your "name" and your love of the Blue Jays!
My family used to go camping every summer at our local Provincial Park. Then when I moved out they bought a trailer and ran a mini-golf course at a trailer park. My dad built that little course. I have lots of great "teenage" memories of those times!
The last time I camped it was a canoe trip in Algonquin Park. It rained for 3 days and that was the end of my adventures with camping!
We are taking a day to visit the States and "chill" before a busy week.

Actually Avon, there is no connection at all, just coincidence, but clever of you.
Enjoy that day in the U.S. Nice that you're taking some time to yourself.
