We have been a one car family for years. It works for us. Sometimes inconvenient but we just don't double book ourselves. Or dh will drop me off when I am going to be getting my hair done, for example, which takes a couple of hours and pick me up later. Helps to be in a small town. I even ferry my brother around when he needs a ride as he is disabled and has never had a licence. He usually takes the bus or gets rides from friends, though.

But we are retired, so we rarely HAVE to be using the car both at the same time.

    Better for the environment, too.

Good for you for making this decision!

Thanks everyone for the anniversary wishes.
@saundyl Great pics! Looks like beautiful country. Hope the ex gets her stuff moved out.
@Granger Aw Josie is really growing. There`s nothing cuter than a baby laughing. Happy birthday to DH

@ SassyAshley I used to work in a factory sewing draperies. They didn`t like to turn the heat on when it got cold. Sewing with gloves on doesn`t work either...we tried it.

First of all, only use it for half an hour before you let it have a rest. Then, there is a special "lubricating" paper that you buy at a place like Staples. But you can make your own by using vegetable oil on computer paper and running it back and forth through the machine every 30 hoursof use.

This is supposedan to extend the life by about 3X. The instructions for this maintenance is supposedly in the instruction manual you get.

I will post pictures of my other two another time. Been working on making sure I have photos for the 1 month time period of my album. It is almost two months and I have barely any!!!
Love the pics. Shes so sweet. I wouldnt have ever thought of people disapproving of the outfit.

    Thank you!

I so rarely share pics of myself anywhere. More likely to post the boys the pups or a current craft.

MaddensMom hope your little one feels better soon

Well today did not go as planned at all, I started to feel horrible at work so I hid in my office all morning and keep to myself so no talks, no progress. Honestly with how I was feeling I just would not have gotten through the conversation and I think this is something I have one shot at and if I mess it up it is not something I can bring up again right away, I would have to walk away re group and wait probably a few months to bring up again.

I thought I was just feeling off because I did not eat properly before work and really felt like I did not take enough food with me to work. Guess not, came home went to eat and just wasn't feeling it, wasn't feeling better so I gave in a took a nap which is totally not me. Normally unless I am super sick I cannot nap so I figure I would lay in bed for 1/2 an hour and give up, nope I fell asleep for about 2 or so hours. I do feel better but am still super tired so nothing got done today, oh well.

I also did not make dinner so I cashed in our free pizza which Mom is picking up on her way home. So for under $5 we have a large pizza and potato wedges. Tomorrow I want to do some prep for the week ahead, Mom has some super weird shifts this week and we are going to be all over the place. Must plan and see what I can get done.

On that note off to look up more crochet patterns, I am kind of addicted but the way I see it, it is my me thing and I am making things that will be useful to me this winter when I am travelling for work. My Schoodie is almost done, I have one fingerless glove done, one to go (this is for when I am here, our office is freaking freezing, portable office in the parking lot and we have all tried but you cannot type with gloves on). Thinking about making some slippers and some yoga socks next but will have to check my yarn stock first.

    Have a great evening everyone.

I'm a pattern link hoarder when it comes to knitting. I hope you are feeling better.

Thank you. Very similar to what I am now. 830 to 5. I'm told rare overtime and occasional out of town training. I get to find out full details Monday.

Glad you got your computer issues sorted!

saundyl - awesome! Thanks for sharing the pics - it's so beautiful there!
I was in a Cessna once - first and only time in a small plane. It was in Grade 8, and we got to go on a tour over and around our city; it was awesome.

I've only been on a big plane once, too! When I was in third year university, I got flown up north to visit a friend who was working in Uranium City (he took a semester off to get some big bucks), so I was on an Eldorado Nuclear jet. I was the only female on the flight - the rest full of workers and men going there for a hockey tournament.

Granger - such beautiful photos, thanks for sharing them. Josette is a dolly, especially laughing with her daddy - and Happy Birthday to him!
Back pain makes things hard...and sucks alot.

This was my first trip in a small plane. Loved seeing a different perspective of home.

    Wow plane full of men!

Busy day today! Half way done my year end, feels good to be on the way to being done. I told myself as soon as year end was done and the windows were washed for winter I could start doing some Christmas crafting. Had to motivate myself somehow.
Husband is feeling really well considering he was in atrial fibrillation less than a week ago. The Americans arrived this afternoon all in good spirits and looking forward to a Canadian goose hunting experience!! They are all lawyers so I am glad my son could join them, he is considering law post secondary and he was anxious to ask some questions!! i made a quick jaunt to the cabin to drop of dessert and a few other treats for the hunters and enjoyed a coffee on the deck, a few sailboats were out and the leaves were beautiful.
Well I am going to break out a box of Kleenex and watch Still Alice on net-flicks tonight. I read the book when we were in Spain and loved it. My daughter said she cried a lot during the movie. Sometimes it does you good to see a tear jerker!!
    Enjoy the day tomorrow everyone

Oh forgot to mention I found a good deal today at Superstore, Knorr had bonus boxes of their products at Superstore today,2.97 regular 9.97, inside there are two packs of sidekicks, a package of bouillon cubes (6 cubes), rose sauce mix, leek soup mix and a package of the condensed chicken stock(regular size pack of 4). Also a recipe book with 5.00 work of coupons, one of them is 2.50 for 3 Knorr items. Just thought I would mention it, I am not a user of side kicks but the teen likes them sometimes!!

I'm not sure if I posted this yet.
We took away big brother's pull-ups just over a week ago. He initially cried for his diapers, but he has quickly gotten over it. He now goes to the potty all by himself, but I still give him frequent reminders. He has about 1 accident a day, usually when he is too excited to stop what he is doing to go potty. We have been giving him 1 M&M some of the time as a reward, but not always. He's quite proud of himself. He empties his potty and enjoys washing his hands...making a mess with it. He is consistently dry after nap time and doesn't want to wear a pull-up during nap in case of an accident. He wears a diaper at night because we want him to, but he is often dry in the morning too. We are so proud of him. Such a quick improvement.

Dh has been gone pretty much since yesterday morning and won't be home until tomorrow night. These are the first nights that I have been home alone with the three children, therefore, also the first nights that dh has been away from our newborn twins. Both babies have been very fussy for about 4hrs before bed. It's rough to deal with that by myself, try to feed big brother and I supper during that time and get everyone to bed. The last child went to sleep just before 10pm tonight. I'm sitting here eating a big bowl of Rice Krispies before getting ready for bed for the night. We have never let any of our babies sleep for more than 5hrs at a time until they are at least 4months old. Studies have shown that this reduces the baby's risk of SIDS, so I set an alarm just in case they sleep that long.

I had a productive day today. The older lady was here from about 11am-2pm today to help out. I went to the farmer's market and bought 2 spaghetti squash and 2 small bags of baby carrots before she came over. Big brother ate 1.5 medium sized baby carrots as soon as we got home, which was great to see. I tidied up a little bit, washed all the dishes, did a load of laundry, cooked home made wiener and bean soup (full of veggies and something dh doesn't like), got the mail with all the children in tow and spent a little time in the back yard with them but baby girl was not impressed. I'm VERY hungry all the time because I am still exclusively nursing the twins. I've quite the sweet tooth lately. I was really hoping to make those oatmeal chocolate chip squares today (with 1/2 apple sauce to reduce the fat content and see how they taste), so I'm now hoping to make it tomorrow morning.

edit: I got 5.4hrs sleep last night and managed to get a 1hr nap this afternoon when all 3 children were down.
