    I bought a gift last week for my mom! She is so hard to buy for (needs nothing, has money to buy whatever she wants when she wants) So I usually buy lotion she likes and a gift certificate for the Cineplex, or her grocery store (she is practical) But I have been noticing the last few times after family dinners that she doesn't have much for storage containers (for packing up leftovers) and what she does have is the cheap disposable Ziploc containers so I bought her a huge box of the Rubbermaid food storage containers. So happy to have at least once surprise gift for her to unwrap! So now I'm on the hunt for a few other things for her and of course a gift certificate for RCSS lol

    DS mentioned wanting the Skylanders game for xbox. RCSS has a starter pack on this Sat only. Will have to check it out for sure. He hardly mentions anything he "wants" so I have to run when he actually mentions something!

    My friend has occasionally found really great deals on Skylanders at EB Games (including the Giants starter pack for the Wii U for 9.99$) so keep an eye open there! It's such a fun game, my daughter loves it too!

    ok thanks! I should check it out more! I found some starter kits on Amazon for under $40 too. He doesn't have any so I'm not sure if he is too picky on which one he wants.

    I didn't think I'd have anything to post here for a while but my wonderful mommy went to a garage sale and got me 4 strings of 50 C7 Luminus LED lights. Two have been gently used and two are brand new in the box!! Plus one string of red-yellow-green LED lights that are kind of dull, but fine nonetheless, and 12 short strings of non-led icicle lights! She paid $15 for the lot of it which is still pretty expensive but I'm really excited!

    Think I can say I am almost done shopping for my niece! Will grab the Leap Frog Picnic basket at Wal-mart for $19.97 (checked Amazon and it is $24.97) Will grab her cute pj's too I think. So for her I have the Minnie Mouse kitchen, books, Blu-ray and stuffed toy gift pack, Little People people lol, Noah's Ark boat with stuffed animals (bought from Indigo last week). So excited to start wrapping! I need to clear out some more stuff from my spare room and then I can set up the Christmas wrapping table Will move my big shelf in there and then I can put the wrapped gifts on it. I am feeling so organized this year!

    My goal will be to finish my niece and Grandma in the next 2 weeks. Still need to pick up a gift card, nightie and her Aveeno lotion! Will see if my sister has any other ideas. We bought her a laptop last year. She doesn't really want anything this year.

    I didn't want to hear about Christmas for a while, because I was a little bitter about the snow/cold that we had last year... but now that its almost October the Christmas excitement is emerging

    Since we don't have kids yet, I always love shopping for our nieces and nephews... we have 9 plus another 1 who is a close friends son. Time to start thinking of ideas :D

    Got an email from Ebates a few days ago saying that they were doing 20% cash back on certain items at shop.ca, including a crockpot! Which my mom had said was what she wanted for Christmas! So I got her to the one she wanted, and got 20% cashback in my account.. Now hopefully the rest of my gifts will be so fruitful!
