Just thinking about Christmas right now makes me want to throw up. But we do have a few things bought already, so that helps! Not sure what we're getting either my or the wife's parents, but we'll figure something out.

Picked up a couple of gifts in the States while I was away. The number of people we buy actual gifts for is getting smaller and smaller as the kids get bigger and bigger and want $$$ or GCs.
My dh bought a couple of pieces of jewellery for me while we were away which I'm supposed to "forget about" until Christmas.

Purchased Lays (chips) for stockings. Disney Kitchen for niece ($40 reduced from $79.99) I also just bought the Step 2 Craft desk for under $60 on Amazon with free delivery if anyone is looking for this for Christmas. (I bought for my niece for her birthday next summer)

I have no Christmas gifts purchased right now. Our son celebrated his 3rd birthday last week. We will probably be staying home again this year, so very few people to buy for. The twins will be nearly 5 months old.

Does anyone or has anyone purchased Christmas village houses from Michaels? If so, are they ever 'regular price' or will I never be able to use a coupon on them?
Can someone give me a ballpark figure for the price of a building? Nothing insane or fancy, I'm looking for a basic post office for my manager (we work in a post office :3) and I'm hoping to find the best deal I can.

Thanks Lecale
I was expecting around that, hope I can use a coupon.
Just stumbled upon this for anyone cooking turkeys this thanksgiving or christmas:
http://www.butterball.ca/en/turkey-talk-line
It's a toll-free number that you can call if you have turkey-cooking related questions. I'm sure everyone here knows someone doing their first holiday meal who could use it. Even the Butterball CEO has called the line to ask a question!

This is going to be a strange one...I have NO idea what to get my Hubby....or our 7-year old Grandson!! He's (sob) out of the Lego stage, at least for now...on to the Avengers stuff...purchased one handbag and one evening bag (this is becoming a habit, lol, but she needs them) for our DD, NO idea for SIL...I just don't seem to be in the mood this year for some odd reason. Maybe the feeling will hit me when all the ugly halloween stuff is put away in stores and the Christmas stuff comes out more than what's out there now....weird. I'm usually a Christmasholic!!

I don't feel very gung-ho on presents this year
It's been a crappy year with a lot of losses and to top it off mice got into our christmas decorations and destroyed some of them. Chewed up my cat Jack's stocking (who passed last year) and pooped all over everything else. It was a mess and it stinks. We're going to have to scrub down every ornament with bleach water.
So instead I think I'm just buying everyone in my immediate family a new bed. I bought myself one from this place that has heavily discounted new-in-plastic brand name ones a few years ago and it was the best money I ever spent. Twin mattresses start at $100 (parents would rather 2 twins on their king frame than one king), so for $400 everybody gets a big gift and they're done. Nobody needs anything so I think that's how it's going to go.
I'm more excited about decorating. I got a big roll of wire and some tomato cages so I'm trying to figure out how to make the best use of all of my new holiday lights. November 1st I will be decorating the heck out of the house before it gets too darn cold.

We dont celebrate Christmas but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas time. Back in our country, we watched Home Alone movies when we were kids and, as all of you know, those movies showed Christmas time. Now when we see these Christmas decorations, feel the Christmas vibe, wearing pjs all the time, see how everyone is busy shopping for Christmas.... it brings back our childhood memories.
