Oh, my!! We spent Christmas in Puerto Vallarta several years ago with our Daughter and her Hubby and it was absolutely fantastic! Santa even drove past on his SeaDo in the morning! We stayed at the Riu and oh, the decorations...and coming home to NO decorations to take down?! Priceless!!
Hope you get the opportunity, too!

I can't wait to venture out to the stores, however, I have been on ebay and even with the exchange rate tv series are still much cheaper than walmart, amazon, etc

Are you ordering from the US, J&C? The shipping is usually so high from there...if you've ordered from anywhere with "free shipping", I sure hope they arrive in time! You're smart to have ordered this early...!!

Great. Now I'm there looking at Christmas decorations!

Ordered Season 3 and 4 of Grimm for BIL from ebay just under $40canadian for both. Season 3 at WM is $29.97 and season 4 is $39.97 + taxes of course. And the seller I chose is in Canada and prices in Canadian dollar which was awesome so paid 1/2 price for 2 gifts which would have been $69.94 + taxes $9.09 = $79.03 at walmart so great savings.

The sellers both state delivery from Nov. 2 to Nov. 26th so if anyone is wanting to order better do it sooner rather than later.

Last year I ordered dh a tv series from Amazon (1st time shopping with them) and order mid November and sadly the item did not arrived until Mid January so I learned my lesson....shop early and be on the safe side

4 more stocking stuffers. Nothing else to report other than I did up my squash at thanks giving and froze it so easy on Christmas Day. We are hosting this year so I am stuck doing dinner. Only happens every other year so not too bad and will probably only be 8-10 people but there are 3 diabetics and 2 gluten intolerances and 2 that eat no dairy, no soy no gluten, no butter etc oh and dh is a vegetarian. It is a bit of a nightmare really. I am okay with most,of it but the no butter thing is a huge pain in the a--! I did can some brandied pears in the summer so that is part of the dessert plans...they are soooo delicious.

Found at RCSS skittles storybooks ( has 3 full size skittle package inside). Usually over $3 but we're on for $1.39 so bought 3 for my boys stockings since they all love them!

Thank you for that tip frugalbigmama! Those were one of my childhood favorites, we always used to get the lifesaver ones, I completely forgot about them.

Anyone familiar with alcohol gift sets? I've seen some when I've gone into liquor stores around the holidays but have never really given them a second thought as I do not drink and wasn't buying much for others. Are they a good deal or are they priced significantly higher usually than just the bottle of alcohol itself? I don't think any of my giftees really NEED glasses or what have you, but if it's the same price as just a bottle, I may as well go for it, right?

Not sure but check the shelf and find out what the bottle on its own sells for. It may be close in price as a promo pack.

Finished making a list of gifts left to buy and budgeting. $600. My goal will be to beat the budget. $25 here and there really adds up!!!
