I wish you all a very Merry Christmas !!!
Today will be the second of a three-day feasting family celebration
for our family. Very nice to be all gathered together.

Hoping all of you have a wonderful Christmas Day today!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve celebration - full of love, fun, food, and drink (yes, I imbibed - hmmm... I guess when there is booze in the house, it's worth trying; cherry whisky and root beer is vewy, vewy good, lol!).

Today, we will have what my son calls 'snackies' - for late aft supper we will just have a variety: spinach dip baked in pumpernickel; kolbassa and ham; cheeses and pickles; smoked oysters; shrimp and sauce; antipasto I made the other day; devilled eggs - I think that will be enough.... Plus sweets, if there's room.

It's a very unexpected frigid day with -35 windchill, and though the temp may get warmer, the windchill won't.
We'll all be staying in anyway - only our son will have to travel to us.

Enjoy every moment of the day!

MERRY GREENCHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!

We're heading up to +4 today, there's not a single speck of white crap anywhere to be found (not that I looked for it!), we've unwrapped our presents here this morning, had a few mimosas.....packed up the presents to take over to the kids after lunch, and boy oh boy am I excited for them to open their presents!! I filled and frosted my carrot-spice cake, (ohhhh...Hubby just asked if I wanted him to bring me another mimosa.....)...and well, we'll be buffed and fluffed and ready to go very soon!

I sincerely wish each and every one of you all the very best this Christmas day, and may you make beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

It's been a wonderful day - as long as one doesn't go outside - I didn't have to; our son came here and tortured me with his freezing cold hands when he got here!

Had a lovely supper and talking, now the men are watching Die Hard, so I'm listening to/watching the Abba Christmas Party - and having flashbacks of my youth, lol!

Oh, a big glass of white zinfandel went down well with supper, and now I'm into the cherry whisky again.
Does this make me a lush?

hicks, my husband is definitely a sweetie to do the shopping on such a busy day, and there were four stops - not huge shopping overall, but you still have to fight the traffic and crowds.

I slept from 5 to 8 p.m., so I think I'm pretty messed up time-wise now! I'm just on here now while I have supper, re-heated cassserole.

Finished doing the veggies for the antipasto, just have to mix it all up with the sauce - it's for the 25th, so will marinate in the fridge.

I'll do some more baking tonight.

Sad news for my baby brother - well, he's 44, lol - he messaged me yesterday that his cat was sick (she's the offspring of one of our former cats), hadn't eaten in four days, so he took her to the vet. They put her on IV, forcefed her (whatever that involves), did some testing. At first it seemed that it was a blockage of some sort that had the possibility of resolving itself, but an ultrasound showed a tumour, and that things weren't good for her.

So last I heard from him he was going to see the vet tonight to discuss putting Shelby down. Gee, I cried so much - she's 15. My brother lives alone in our parents' former house - and he had a cat die about four years ago, and really took it hard. Sure wish I could be there to support him.

Update - just heard from my brother, there was nothing more they could do for the cat, the tumour was just too massive, so RIP Shelby...

So sorry to hear about Shelby! Hope your brother considers taking in another buddy to love - there are so many looking for a wonderful home. I know it`s very hard!

I'm not really a hockey guy lol. I loved my Columbus blue jackets jersey haha. Wasn't really a fan of the team, just thought it looked nice.

So sorry to hear about Shelby! Hope your brother considers taking in another buddy to love - there are so many looking for a wonderful home. I know it`s very hard!

So interesting - I think he's ready. Yesterday he was messaging me pics of shelter kitties... but I know it may depend upon how he feels seeing them in person.

My dh has a Columbus Blue Jackets shirt and it`s really nice! I think we found it at VV Boutique.

I got mine at a Jersey store on young street in toronto. Price was $129.99 and I said how about $85 inc tax. He says $85 plus tax so I say $90 inc tax and he said OK.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I spent christmas eve at cousins and brought that big platter over. Everyone was impressed and loved it. My friend was so proud on putting it together for me lol. Christmas day and dinner also at cousins. Today back again for boxing day get together with ball hockey and food. Plus couple cousins coming from Sudbury today. Used marks work warehouse gift card I got to get shoes this morning and same bus driver picked me up an hour later and was like geez you're a fast shopper lol.
