Good morning!

Well, I'm surprized my husband hasn't run screaming out of the house...

During the night, I kind of half awoke, and thought my husband had gotten up since I felt across the bed for his legs, and they weren't there. So I thought I'd roll over to his side of the bed and first threw one arm over to grab his pillow - BUT there was a head there - I screamed bloody murder because I hadn't expected that, and I guess I had totally whacked him hard on the nose. So he woke up freaked out, and I was mortified at what I had done. Of course, I couldn't apologize enough - gah!

Well, he reassured me later over and over that it was okay - but my goodness, how crazy!

@Natalka - I know that rude awakening wasn't funny, but I laughed. Brought back a similar memory.

Wow, I cannot believe it's February 1st! The only spots that still have a bit
of crusty snow on my one-acre property, are along the driveway from the
snow blown piles and on top of the goldfish pond. It's 5 degrees already and
completely green. Yesterday I walked the front and back with the doggie
poop bucket and actually enjoyed the task, because it felt like I was doing
a spring job on the last day of January.
So glad you got outside, Hicks, please stay away from those dreaded stairs...

Lynn, I'm planning to sew a baby quilt too, for my new granddaughter.
No pattern needed, found a sweet pastel colored cotton top, will back it with
a white flannel receiving blanket, pillowcase style. Then, just follow the
printed squares for the final quilting.

I didn't forget. I was waiting on the followup with the Partner and the Partner in charge of Finance.
Had that meeting this morning...15.25% raise!

Good morning, Everyone!!!

Margy....{{{{jealous!!!!}}}}...we had fluffy crappy snow fall last night and it still looks like mid-winter around here and I'm NOT impressed. Even our one month of winter was too long and now we're into month two??!! Enough is quite enough!
Enjoy sewing your baby quilt! Our Grandson received a panel quilt from his Aunt here that she hand-quilted...it was gorgeous....all red/white/blue boy colours. He still keeps it in his room...

I think I found the right pattern: and as I say that, I can't make up my mind between the disappearing nine-patch or a pinwheel pattern (although I don't care for so much white in a baby quilt)....I'll check our the quilt store and see how many coordinating fabrics I can find that are girly but not bubble-gum pink.. Enjoy your sewing!

Walkonby...good gracious, how much sleep DO you get?! You're putting soup on and I'm just getting into bed! I hope you slept in this morning. A bowl of soup would be lovely today: you deliver, right???
