It's good the voltaren helps somewhat; I can't use anything topical, so I haven't tried it.

There are different Robax products - I use Robax Platinum, because it has ibuprofen. Robaxacet has acetaminophen (generic Tylenol).

    Coupon here

    http://www.backrelief.ca/coupons#.VudfYzHwtQt

I've also used Tylenol back pain

    http://www.tylenol.ca/adult-pain-rel...enol-back-pain

They sometimes have a coupon on Healthy Essentials, but there isn't one there now.

All of these use the same muscle relaxant - it's just the choice of pain reliever you would want to use.

In theory...because if anyone hugged me I'd faint with the pain...lol..THANK YOU SO MUCH, NATALKA!!

You've obviously done your research, I wouldn't have known that one had ibuprofen and the other generic Tylenol...I'll absolutely as my DH to pick up the platinum for me. I've also used the SalonPas, but I don't think they work terribly well....wonder how the Robax patches work. I've printed out those coupons, and I'm so grateful! Right now the pain from my right side of my back is shooting down my leg and believe me, that leg doesn't need any more pain!

Much obliged, my Friend! I hope you're spared any discomfort from this nonsense and I hope WALKONBY reads your post...I'm sure it'll help her, too.

Well, the kids were driving down to Toronto and evidently they nearly hit a deer! It pranced across the highway just north of Parry Sound and she had to slam on her breaks to avoid hitting it!!
    ANYTHING ELSE??!!!

I'm hitting the sack. There's been quite enough excitement for one or even two days!!

    Sweet dreams, everyone!!

I have used Robaxin etc and it works for me- you can get regular strength which is 350 MG of acetaminophen per tablet or extra strength which is 500mg of acetaminophen per tablet - I take 2.

If you don't want acetaminophen but can do aspirin, there is Robaxacol which is aspirin + muscle relaxant ( same kind of regular and extra strength dosages.)

Or there are generic Life Brands of all of these combinations -which I find work just as well.

So the trick is to pick the type of pain med you want - ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or aspirin- then whether you want the generic or Robax brands and the are all different colours - so you had better send dh with a note and some money for an ice cream cone when he gets done. Also - very definitely the cell phone. 😉💟
Hope you feel better - don't keep straining it by doing things like sewing!!!
    How about acupuncture?

Oh yes, almost forgot - could you please send me that travel claim info we talked about? Please and thanks!

    Good morning every1.

My wish for today: relief for all the back suffers.
I hope you have a good day.

Hey @walkonby - you don't need to go swimming today, just go out for a walk.

    Good morn!

Guess what? I might just go out and make a snowman!
Yeah, we got a nice covering of snow, and apparently we may get more over the next few days. Not a lot, but it's here.

Enjoy whatever the day brings you!

G'day, everyone...dull, drizzly day, but going up to +8 so at least more snow will be dying.

DH picked up the Robax platinum this morning, and I just took one so hopefully it'll take the sting out if nothing else. I'm also very nauseated for some reason this morning; we had our flu shots so I'm thinking I didn't get a lot of sleep with my back bothering me when I moved around in bed, so perhaps a nap is in order this afternoon.

As for the kitty...she was taken to the clinic this morning at 10am, they don't know if she'll have her surgery today or tomorrow, but DD tried to stress the importance of doing it today. If they do it tomorrow, they keep her overnight, so it's another over-night for them, too, so DD have to fly home for her clients on Thursday and Friday...this is adding up! For now, 'the boys' are in the pool at the hotel, and she's walked to the Eaton's Centre to do some shopping at The Bay, etc....they're at the Chelsea so it's nice and close: our home away from home when we go there, usually.

So...that's all the news that's fit to print as they say. Natalka, Avoncallingyou, 22hicks, thank you for all the information you provided re medications and happy thoughts. Today will be a computer day and a menu-planning day for our DD's b'day dinner here on Friday. THAT'S a happy thought!!

Stay warm and day, everyone, and be safe!!

    Good afternoon.

So for pi day toppers pizza was giving a discount of $3.14 on just certain pizzas. But dominos for March break is doing 50% off all reg priced pizzas. Guess which one I went with lol.

Had lunch with aunt today and laundry. I paid her back the money I borrowed to buy a bus pass and she gave it right back for me to buy groceries. Then she bought me like 10 pairs of underwear and bunch of socks and cold meds.

dropping in for a wee hello! The back IS on the mend, I can feel it is already improved a slight bit because I am making less sounds when I get up from a chair. Still hate dropping anything though, that bending down is for the birds!

Isn't that weird, though, Walkonby....I can pick anything up off the floor no problem but oyi! Getting up off the sofa? I have to pause before taking a step to make sure I'm not seized up!

If any youngsters are reading these posts....growing old is just SO interesting!!! Beats the alternative, however..... Stay well, Walks, I'm glad you're getting better day by day.

Well the kitten had her surgery today, so they'll all be home tomorrow, no cast, but she has to keep her cone on for 2 weeks!! Poor little thing!!! AND kept in her doggie kennel so that she isn't tempted to race around....that's going to be so hard on her...so sad....

Glad you are better, walks. I use kitchen tongs for picking up stuff (that is ONLY what that set is used for, not for cooking) - they can pretty much pick up anything - though a pill is tough, it still can be done if I'm stubborn enough, lol!

Husband came home mid-aft, he had to leave work before lunch because he was really dizzy. A co-worker took him to the dr., and to the pharmacy. He's to be off work tomorrow as well.
He's had dizzy probs off and on for like the past 10 years or so - and no answers. He's had tons of different tests, seen specialists, etc. and it's frustrating to have no solution. It's different if it happens at home, but today he was going up and down a ladder, so it was good there was no crash.

Oh, Natalka, thank heavens he's okay, and he actually DID go to see a doctor! Guys notoriously think they can "shake it off"...I hope he feels better soon and that someone can tell him what the problem might be.

Nat hope he's OK. I have these weird coughing fits for years and years now. At work on Monday I coughed so much I almost passed out. My aunt called me a whimp when I told her(I gotta stop telling her stuff lol)
