This storm pulled siding off the west corner of my house. Other pieces are banging around. The construction company that replaced our damaged siding from a hail storm isn't answering their phone. I lift them a message 4hrs ago. Dh is at work so I called my brother for help. He suggested propping wood up against it for now to stop the damage. I hadn't thought of that, it's working for now. We have extra siding for the repairs, but we need the construction company for their tools, men, and expertise to fix it. I'm hoping that it won't take long or be too expensive. It sucks. We probably won't put in an insurance claim due to the deductible amount.

That's too bad. We pay for insurance and scared/doesn't make sense to use it. I am the same way. Hope it isn't too bad.

I am watching the clock! This day is almost finished and my honey should be off the same time as me We are thinking of being crazy and doing something we NEVER do, especially on a Friday night. We are going out for dinner! We have giftcards we received for our birthdays and thought he was working late so that was our plan since we have no kids and no kid to pick up at work. Will fly home to shower quick and get dolled up lol. Have a great night everyone!

I just sat down and updated my trade list, still have a few more that I want to add. I have some complete Maple leaf and Schneiders booklets up for trade because we need to eat what's in our freezer. I also have a bunch of baby coupons, $3 Kimberly-Clark, etc that I won't be using. I'm hoping to trade for stuff we are running out of: Old Spice original deodorant, Sensodyne toothpaste, French onion soup mix, regular Whiskas dry cat food, etc. I thought I'd post here in case anyone was interested.

Last winter, daycare put up notices that there was pink eye, and hand, foot, and mouth disease going around, but they still put all the stuffed animals and blankets in the same bin. It's almost impossible to not get sick.
I'd be tempted to put on a laundry display of blankets and toys taking a bath in the washer for the kids. Bonus points if daycare has a front-load clear door! You daycare parents really are frontline defense on outside germs!

Would love to put a layer of snow on sibling's car just because he exasperates me so. Do you teleport the white stuff?

    Hello folks!
    We had a beautiful day.
Andit, I am happy that your mom didn't have to go through another procedure and hope that means that her therapy plan will be accelerated.
Frugalbigmomma, have a great time on your date!
Saundyl, wishing for spring to reach you soon.
Angela - you are organization exemplified! Good luck with your trades!
Ciel- Ahh- brotherly/sisterly love - lol!

I needed to take a little frustration out this afternoon. There has been a corner of our back park/yard which has been growing burr bushes. I have stopped taking my doggie anywhere near there as he always gets burrs in his paws.

So, today I unleashed my fury for about 40 minutes. I came up with a huge clump of burrs and weeds that filled a considerable amount of a green garbage bag and still have "miles to go." But "I'll Be Bauck!" as Arnold Schwarzenegger says! I can hear those burr bushes trembling in the breeze as we speak!
Here's to all you great SC'ers

    Good Morning Everyone,
I came back Thursday night as planned, wow was that a long day. Since I am so happy and always smiling I was the greeter which meant standing for 5 hours, I am not used to being on my feet that long anymore. By the time I got home it was almost 7 pm which isn't bad but it felt so much later.

Yesterday was catch up I am back in the office day. Also last night I made Mom come down the basement with me to start sorting the Stockpile room. She was supposed to do this well I was away and didn't so last night I told her she had to give me half an hour, ended up being more like 45 minutes which was good. My goal last night was just to get rid of what we are tossing so on Sunday when she is off she can organize it and I will start bringing down our small appliances.

Wednesday night was nice, there were 3 of us in the same hotel so we all decided to go out to dinner which was a nice night out. It was nice to get out and even though the topics were work it was just nice to be out socializing vs sitting in a hotel room alone. This location is nice to visit as they are really building up the area around the hotel we stay in which is nice everything you need well you are away is right there.

Not sure what today will bring yet, I have to be honest I am still in some pain from being on my feet the other day so we will have to see what happens.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Good morning, everyone!

Should be a nice sunny day today; enjoy what the day brings you!

Nice frugal weekend here, the only shopping we needed to do yesterday was to get buns and bread.
Have to go through the rest of the flyers, but there isn't much we need, so that's good!

Well I got forced into doing some cleaning today. Was sitting here enjoying my TV when the power went out so no vegging in front of the TV for me.

Instead I removed the stand from my room which I am going to sell and got one of my night tables in place. I also started to clean the cubes in my room clearing them off, dusting them, sorting through what I want to keep and get rid of.

Luckily the power came back on early afternoon but at this point I was far into my clean up efforts I could not turn back. Once power came back on I posted some things for sale, mostly clothing. No bites yet but hopefully we get some soon as the $$$$ are getting super tight and all of a sudden they are giving Mom no hours, we were told even though she did not get full time they would be able to give her X hours a week and now she is getting WAY less so I am stressing.

When the power came back on I meant to take out a Chicken Breast for dinner so I had to get creative. Tonight dinner will now be a Baked Sausage (were already defrosted in the fridge), Homemade Mac & Cheese, and Salad with Homemade Dressing.
