@avoncallingu, the stress just never seems to leave you two, does it? I hope this paperwork tonight signals the end of it all, and you can concentrate on the fun stuff, like imagining yourselves nicely settled into your new home. I always thought that condos come with some sort of storage areas in a basement of the building or something like that; guess not, huh?
Well yes, your Christmas decorating may have to change after-all...

Just tell everyone you're now into "minimalist" decorating...this might be just what you need to solve your Christmas tree storage problem..

Ha! One Christmas, my husband(not this one) worked on the line in an aluminium can company. Someone made a 2-D Christmas tree out of the sleeves the tops came in and decorated it with bits and pieces of aluminium shards. He brought it home and we hung it up. That year we could only afford a small real tree which we decorated with mini candy canes and popcorn strings. Now you'd find the idea on Pinterest or something. That was when I was in teacher's college- living on student loans.

We had a lovely b'day with our Grandson yesterday, now 8 years old; time is flying by far too quickly. He loved the kayak we bought him and paddled around their pool in it; he's going to love having it at camp.

Today I'm making my late Mom's wonderful raisin oatmeal cookies for camp this weekend (DH's co-worker from the Sault, her hubby and 2 kids will be staying with them over the weekend) for all the kids...if I can stop eating them! Then perhaps raisin butter tarts for Father's Day bbq there on Saturday, since they're one of my hubby's favourite once-in-a-blue-moon treats. His real b'day is on Friday so I'm going to buy him a new cover for his motorcycle as a surprise.

Um...that's about it around here! The weather is supposed to stay warm and sunny, heating up to hot and sunny for camp; gotta love it!
@avoncallingu , my-oh-my, the things I still don't know about you, my Friend....line-worker, huh? Quite the humble start for a future school principal!! The good ol' days in many ways, even though back then money was tight, we all still managed to make it through, leaving sweet memories in their wake.

GOOD MORNING, everyone!!!

We're almost packed up to head to camp after DH's golf, but in no hurry, and boy it's going to be a hot weekend!! Weather-wise. The kids have friends coming from the Sault with their two kids, so there'll be lots of sea-do/ing, kayaking, all in the bay where we are. Outside of the bay Lake Huron gets very choppy, so they keep the kids within the confines of the bay.

I hope everyone has a safe weekend and does whatever it is that makes your hearts happy!!

Okayyyy...Jenny looks a lot chunkier when she's sleeping, but this is how she relaxes (collapses) after a walk to the beach..

Saw a video where the rock(Dwayne Johnson) and Kevin Hart went to a school to talk about bullying. A girl commented that it's not enough, they should visit every school in the US. She goes on to say I know they're busy but they can do it and a lot of people were with her on that point. First it's not fully on them to visit schools. But second there are over 98,000 public schools alone in the US. Visiting just 1 a day every day would take 268 years. Which I still think went over her head as she just kept arguing the point lol.
