Raspberry plants are to the far right - 3 raised beds with trellises added to contain the bushes and strawberries are next. 3rd photo shows the design concept on paper.
Lots of planning and work and about $2500 to build as the wood, soil and mulch are pricy but the return on investment with the produce is good.

I've been lurking for awhile and just wanted to say;
1. I just need A lot lol. I live in a apartment building and balcony gardening is a lot harder then people make it out to seem even when you do face the sun you still don't get enough for most produce.
2. $2500 isn't a lot when you factor in the price of organic produce + the cost of having a hobbyInsert Clever Signature Here

Omg how big is that property? So jealous. I love the layout it looks beautiful.
Do you have an issue with animals eating your food? I have rabbits and chipmunks here. I have fencing around all my gardens. It helps but those little buggers get through the fence.

@PurpleBunny89 , you may be able to use a local community garden
list:

sometimes they are free
sometimes you pay a small fee like $25 each growing season
you bring the soil, seeds, plants
they give you a plot and water

I prefer not to for so many reasons. You don't know who is doing what to your stuff when you are not there, your produce going missing, the extra time to go there and back several times a week. At this point with my busy schedule just not enough time. One day though, one day!

My property is 3.5 acres. I don't have varmint issues as we have ospreys flying around scaring off the bunny's and such. However birds do get into my berries hence the netting and tonight I discovered wasps eating my raspberries!
It is the tail end of raspberries and I just put up a fake wasp nest to hopefully have them move on. Nature!

I am 220 cups raspberries and 193 cups strawberries as of tonight. I made over 15 batches of freezer jam, froze tons of blended berries frozen in muffin tins and popped into zip lock bags for future smoothies, made raspberry smoothies and gave a good portion away.
The rest I will just eat or give away...I am so done with jam making.
On to harvesting cukes and tomatoes etc if the would hurry up and ripen faster.

I am with you on the jam thing as well. I have so many jars of jam, I am going to have to give some away. I am going to start apples within a week or so.
I have harvested my tomatoes getting 19 jars, and froze some bags as well. I think the tomato season is over for me this year. I am harvesting my cukes little by little. And to my surprise, I started to harvest my beets, as some of my beets were the size of my hand in diameter. I ended up getting 10 jars of from 7 of my beets they were so big. Here is a sample size of what I picked out of my garden a couple of days ago.

I am using good old fashion organic fertilizer. Nothing special. It might be that it is a new garden with new soil and that I tend to it very frequently, especially when the plants were small.
I was shocked as you are when I started pulling out these monster size beets. Out of the eight I pulled 5 were that size, maybe even bigger.

maggie, are they still tender, or did they get woody?
They would make a LOT of borscht!
