Good morning!
It's going to be a cool, windy, and rainy day - boo.
My Auntie Mary passed away, the wife of my mom's youngest brother. They've both been ill for years, and have been in a care home. They had no children; he will be just totally lost without her...
sigh.

I love the picture, Hicks!
I am sorry to hear about your aunt, Natalka. Please accept my condolences.
Just waking up in a strange bed, in a strange room and trying to remember what city I'm in. Had a very good sleep, though!
Good morning folks! I got to dance with my hubby last night!! We had a great time. The bride and her dad planned a "surprise" dance for her "father and daughter" dance. It started off with a slow song "My Father's Hand" I think and then broke into a wild medley of funny songs including "YMCA" and the chicken dance and the Macarena and some other great choreography. Everyone was on their feet laughing and clapping. Her dad is usually a very quiet guy but he said he knew that when she asked him to do this that he just had to!
We had such a lot of fun!
Now getting ready to pack up, go pick up the doggie and head on home.
My family are going to stop by in London to see our new home. So another nice family day.

oh avon!! I was just reading the last post you had about the wedding and the mishap with the sand, and then this one! Both brought some moistness to my eye holes!! ( but then when you typed this line...... " Just waking up in a strange bed, in a strange room and trying to remember what city I'm in " .....I laughed and laughed! )
Sounds like a line out of Pretty Woman maybe? ha ha ( awful joke, kidding!, anyways you can ask Lynn, I am a brat )

There was a Fire Fest in Chatham that got rained out yesterday - a lot of Firemen from all around were staying at our hotel- so there just MAY have been a few people waking up in a "strange" bed, Walks- wink, wink, nudge, nudge!

Aw, @22hicks ...THANK YOU, I just had to repost it...and we all know, of course, that the doggie and mouse would just be the bestest of friends if they ever met!
@Natalka , so sorry to hear about your Aunt passing...sincere condolences.
As for YOU, @walkonby , yes Brat for sure! However, I think @avoncallingu probably figured that out without my help, although you just have to know I'd always be more than willing to fill everyone in on that little fact.
@avoncallingu , what a nuisance about that sand vase; these things happen and that wasn't so bad, thank goodness it was replaced, though! My favourite ceremony to perform was always the "HandFasting" one, but the sand one comes a close second. SO happy you danced with your Hubby...sounds like you all had a great time, and thank goodness you at least woke up in the right bed. With Walks?.....whoa!! THAT may have been a different story!
We're back from a lovely weekend at camp; we had a little rain, but the sun was out and shining when it counted. It's always so wonderful to be with 'the kids'.!
I did something very dumb before we left, however. I nearly cried. My SIL asked me to purolate the ring-bearer pillow to her at work, so I hurried to send it off WITHOUT taking a picture of it or the Christmas stocking!!!!!!
She emailed me on Friday that she received it, that it was stunning and that the stocking was so precious, so I asked her to send me a photo of it for all my 'imaginary friends' to see...I just hope she's not to busy to do that!
If not, at least I'll take a pic of it at the wedding. Darn it!!!
Well, my PACKERS are playing this evening, so time to change into my relaxing clothes and settle in for the evening with a nice glass or two of wine.

Hello every1.
@Natalka - I'm sorry to hear about your aunt.
@Lynn49 - forgot to take a picture. Shish, I'm surprised. Glad you enjoyed your w/end. There won't be too many more of them; treasure every single day there.
@avoncallingu - Sounds like you had a great time. You danced with your DH, how wonderful. I love the father and daughter dance story, and that you didn't know which bed you were waking up in. With all those firefighters, me being single, I'm not sure I'd wake up in the right bed either. Enjoy the day with the family.
@walkonby - don't you love all the emotions this thread evokes.
Darn those Jays anyway.
I sure hope they win the wild card spot.

Oh, I love those meeces to pieces!
Good fine morning, everyone!
I hope you all had lovely night's sleep, pretty dreams, and have awakened refreshed.
I, otoh, feel like I've been run over by a truck....a big mack truck. I guess we over-did the packing and moving of stuff out of our trailer yesterday.
So.....these are the pics my Niece sent back of the ring-bearer pillow and Christmas stocking I made for their baby girl, from the wedding gown...I'm so relieved they got there in time and that they loved them!!
The pillow is made from the gown, the loopy trim on top were the button-loops on the front of the gown and on each sleeve (I had to sew them together as two strips); the centre flower is made from the hem of the gown, and the trims were purchased.
