Seems I'm not the only one who is tortured by doors. My black eye is finally gone after I got into a skirmish with a cab door...I got a black eye, but the door got a dent from my thick skull.
Hope you feel better, Skippy.

Hi again. Skippy how are you doing?
ok you reminded me of a question I have been thinking and didn't have time to ask my specialist. I poke my upper legs and parts of my back with a safety pin sometimes to see if the feeling is back there-if it has been gone for over a year past the surgery then will it ever come back? Or am I stuck with no feeling there for ever? Just wondering.

Sorry I have not been very supportive lately everyone. My heart goes out to everyone suffering. I am getting frustrated because I am starting to realize that the drs are sending me back to drs I have already seen. The pain has increased and my mood has decreased so I try to keep to myself alot.

Gotta love it when they start sending you around in circles.
I've done that a few times with this weird thing with my hands (not arthritis, but certainly feels like it when I can't pick anything up without pain). Feel free to pm me if you feel frustrated & need someone to vent to.
This story will give you a good laugh. Back in Jan of 97, I went down to Mexico with my best friend for a vacation away from the cold (& to celebrate my surviving my appendix bursting 6 months before). When I came home, I felt tired & sick & eventually ended up in emergency with a high fever on Valentine's Day (I didn`t get released until St Patrick`s Day - gotta love holidays).
I had a ton of specialists trying to figure out what was wrong with me, of course no one would believe me that this was related to my burst appendix 6 months before, because my symptoms were weird (I was right, they listened in the end & took out a huge mass of goo - what was left of my appendix & all the junk that had globbed onto it in those 6 months).
Here's the funny part. I had an infectious diseases specialist, very sweet man, but somewhat, um, shy. Keep in mind I was a bit out of it with the fever. Every night he would come by & ask me what I did while I was in Mexico, & I would give him details about the sites I went to, typical travel brochure stuff. & he would ask me who I was with. & I would tell him all about my best friend I`ve known since I was 4, & how we travel everywhere together cause we`re so compatible & on & on. & he would ask again, who else was I with. & I would talk about this nice couple from North Carolina or the elderly lady from Orillia or the nice young girl from Germany, & on & on. It never dawned on me that he thought I caught something from being, um, friendly with a stranger.
It wasn`t until one day I mentioned his daily visits to my friend that she clued me in. When he came to see me that night, he asked me the same question. This time I made it clear that I didn`t do anything like what he was thinking while I was in Mexico, & I certainly would not be doing that with a stranger in Mexico. I went on & on about it - it was the lovely meds I was on talking - & I didn`t let the poor Dr get a word in edgewise for about 20 minutes.
