@Natalka Hope you have a good day and weekend. Hope things go well for you going forward.
@flemeth Thanks, things are getting better every day.
@Lynn49 Sorry about your loss, hope it's a good day overall for you.
I took a quick trip to the downtown farmers market. They close off a section of downtown every wed to fri for what they call urban park. Music, vendors etc. until just before Labour day. Every Thurs till the end of September is the farmers market 11am to 3pm which usually takes up a separate block. I got some buns, pecan tarts and strawberries. Usually the farm fresh eggs are gone within the first hour at $5.00 for a dozen but I wasn't looking for eggs this time.

Thanks, all of you, for being so caring.
Well, I ate a whole boiled egg! So funny that that is an accomplishment...
Men have been working outside on getting the downed tree out - lots of chainsawing (which the cats don't appreciate), and general noise. They said it will be done today. Someone will be working on re-shingling this aft.
Take care, everyone!

Cabbie-it might be that what my brother is fighting IS related to gout after all. I might get back to you about those supplements.
Natalka- I am so worried about you! Glad you think you are "moving forward" somewhat.
Lynn-again, sending you supportive thoughts your way today. Hope your weather at camp is great!
All the rest of the SC friends-another weekend within grasp! Hope it's wonderfully for you .
Hope the Jays can pull it off!
My new toilets and fans are in. Whew-living room fan looks great but we had a tense moment thinking that it might hit the wall! Luckily a 1/2" separation.
BrotherR has settled into his respite stay but has many appointments next week, still. More tests.
BrotherB and his friend came over to swizzle furniture around according to recommendations of occupational therapist. It's much more open, but all those things that I had put away-China, Crystal, etc. Are now back out sitting on counters. Oiy!
Got to run to take advantage of seniors' Day at Shoppers DM to get my BrotherR' s shower seat.

There was a huge power outage affecting 30,000 - 40,000 people in our area. Not just Timmins but several hours outside of the city as well. Mine is back on but people drive me nuts lol. So many people saying power back in their neighbourhood or their street etc which is good. It's the people that say powers back in Timmins. No it's still out in many areas in Timmins and lots of other cities. If power is back on for your street that's not all of Timmins lol.

So far today..
i have stubbed my toe
opened a door while my foot was too close and it dragged across the top surface of my foot
dropped the strimmer on my foot cutting one of my toes just enough to bleed
stood on a nail while wearing shoes
and
some-one rammed a shopping cart into my heel while we were shopping.
I have a very sore foot today.
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Yesterday felt like a bit of a backslide for me, so hoping today gets back to making some improvement.
And it doesn't just rain, it pours....
My husband had gone for a regular physical about 10 days ago. His doc said he thought there was something not right in his abdomen (he heard it?) so ordered an ultrasound. My husband went yesterday at 7:30 a.m. for that - and by mid-afternoon got a call from a specialist, booking him for an appointment for Monday with a vascular surgeon. He also went right away to see his GP. Talk about a fast (scary?) diagnosis - abdominal aortic aneurysm.
Note - he's had no symptoms... but it's grown quite large, so it seems surgery is in order.
So what the hell, life sucks.
