16 dead in bus crash involving junior hockey team

@bluerose my heart breaks for you. I can't imagine losing a child. @Natalka as the mom of boys almost 15 and 18 I just can't fathom, I read the note from the dr and just sobbed. My 18 yr old has alway said he wants to be a donor if it ever happens and the courage of this young 21 year old hockey players should prompt us all to ensure we are all on the donor registry.

I know what you mean about that dr's post - my sister is an ICU nurse with him, I don't know whether she has been on shift since this accident.

Its so hard to read this,I lost my 16 yr old son in 2001 and my heart just breaks when I hear about children loosing there lives and what there families are going to have to go through. I call myself a "griever" because the grief never goes away. I pray that these families have lots of love to support them through this horrid time.

@bluerose so sorry for your loss. I am a mother of 2 Girls and it breaks my heart whenever I hear of a child dying. I can’t imagine what these families are going through.i ask my older DD yesterday if she heard The news and her reply to me was mom if it’s sad I do t want to know. I told her any way and she was in tears if I turn the TV to watch it she justs walk away. My prayers and thoughts are with all the families hoping the can find the strength in each other to get through this tough time

There is a vigil being held at 7 pm SK time at the Humboldt arena. CBC will be airing it on TV.

Simultaneous vigils will be held in many cities, towns, and villages throughout the province.
