I have lots of salads leftover, have a pork shoulder roast in the slow cooker for pulled pork to go with the salads, so that will smell yummy all day!

No one's been terribly hungry for a sit down hot meal these days....but I will not complain about the heat because, you know....the white stuff that starts with " S " will be here before we know it and I must save my ranting energy for that.
Anyhow, a whole chicken is roasting in the Air Fryer and 3 large-ish steaks are slow cooking in the cast iron pan with mushrooms and onions.
@walkonby how do you cook your whole chicken in the air fryer, do you just season? do you add onion, oil, etc? and how long do you cook? thanks!!!
I've been tempted to try one in my air fryer but haven't tried it yet

    Hi!! @KelJo

When I tell you you'll never believe me. The only thing I do is wash the bird inside and out, pat dry, then take sharp shears and trim the Pope's nose away and as much extra clumps of fat along with it. ( I found leaving on excess fat means melts and it collects in the bucket under the screen, so I eliminate that from happening .
I do leave the basic skin on that covers the breasts, legs and wings just for some crispy bits.

I add NO seasonings, NO oil...just plop the bird into the bucket, set the timer for approx. 35 min at my highest temp ( which I have no idea what it is now as all the readings are rubbed off of that dial ) Then I flip it over and cook another 15-20 min to get the backside crisp.
Always crispy brown outside and juicy moist inside.
We've been SOOO impressed with how the birds roast in this thing.

Hope you have the same result!!

Myself, being a New Age man and not suffering the constraints of the past, I
cook whatever I happen to run over on the highway each day on my new George Foreman grill.
Hunting season never ends when you drive at extreme speeds in woodland areas.
The trunk of my car is filled with spices.
Yes you're right, it is wonderful to be me.
