December 2020 Frugal Chatter thread (ring in the holidays)

Good morning!

Well more snow overnight so I was up early doing ours and 5 neighbour's walkways! It seems every time I go out I add another neighbour.

Six walkways in total is the limit! It is easy when it is light and fluffy

Yes the snow was light and fluffy,so i did the neighbours also. The girl came and got the big bag of clothing ,so nice to help someone out in need instead of donating and they resell.

Half done my puzzle .I think i will bake chocolate chip cookies .

Morning all.
Snowing heavily here. We will wait and do the driveway later today.
Decided to go out so i can get some steps in.
Just ordered a fruit platter for $3 on Flashapp. My kids will have it gone by days end.
Grabbed a few boxes of the schneiders wings for $2.97 after sale and $3 coupon. Thats about what they are worth lol but something quick to make with fries for kids when they want something as a treat.

Ahh i just got a comment from the kijiji mom -beautifull clothing -thank you .

I feel tired today but i still made chocolate chip cookies ,my sleep is all off .

I will make a nice supper ham ,mashed potatoes and brocolli

Well the rain has set in. Fortunately supposed to abate before grocery shopping tomorrow morning. For now will just sit back and listen to it and have a bowl of popcorn

It is still snowing. Has been since I woke up!!

Have laundry on the go. Steaks thawing for tonight's dinner. A huge tray of extra lean beef thawing so I can make taco meat for tomorrow night. Cooking it tonight so it is done and out of the way.

Going outside now to get some fresh air!

Drizzly grey day here, not sure I am getting my steps in today. I did clean out my night stand which had become a dumping group. Found some more stuff to post. Then the younger son wants to bake chocolate chip cookies.
I already saved my PCO since I won’t be going out today.

Good Evening Everyone,
Today was a busy day but got nothing done around the house. I spent most of my day working. This morning started off very busy with work emails and I figured since I had to log in anyways I might as well prepare a number of pricing adjustments I need to put through on the first. Honestly, I was not feeling my best today so a day on the couch was what I needed so might as well get this stuff done now instead of rushing to get it done later.

With that being said, well I was helping one of our export customers Mom cleaned the bathroom so that is one thing off my to-do-list.

We had Breakfast for Dinner tonight, Eggs & Bacon with a Potato Pancake.

Hoping to have more ambition tomorrow, I was thinking about having appetizers for dinner tomorrow but since we are not going grocery shopping right now I will have to work with what we have on hand. I know we have a Brie I bought as a treat from Costco and we have some Perogies I picked up a couple months ago from No Frills as a treats but that is all I have so far. I have a few other ideas but I will wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Evening.
I'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks but logged on and checked my email and sent a few emails with instructions. I will check in every other day and just deal with stuff instead of leaving it all till the day I return which is overwhelming

Kitchen is clean from dinner (steak dinner and once less thing in the freezer :})
Taco meat is simmering on the stove now. Once done will package and wash the pan. Easy to heat up for dinner tomorrow evening
Will grate the cheese/cut up peppers/lettuce/onions etc tomorrow so when we eat I just have to pull it out of the fridge.
Folded the laundry that was in the dryer and just put the load of white towels in the dryer now.
Tomorrow I clean my room from top to bottom.

Good Morning Everyone,
Slower start to the morning than I wanted but I feel that, that is the theme of Shut Down this year. I am just really lacking ambition, I think my body is like you pushed me, we went through so much this year we need a break. I think this is payback, I just kept telling myself, get to shut down and now that we are here my body is like yep, I am done.

With that being said it is time to get up and get a few things done. Plans for today:
Make a batch of Potato Buns
Make Broccoli Cheddar Soup
Make Tomato Sauce for the freezer
Scrub down the Kitchen Floor

Reconciled my investment tracking. Will finalize the year tomorrow as it will be a new year. A few more weeks before we reconcile the 2020 budget as we wait until late 2020 charges come through, but at the end of November we were well under our 2020 budget so we should be in good shape. Then it all starts again! Sigh.

Good Morning! I was awake at 5am and really considering getting up but then time flew by!

Stripped the bed and sheets are in the washer.

Breakfast done- Fruit from the cheap platter I got yesterday through Flashfood. Will tidy up the kitchen then get started on my bedroom.
Then out for a $1 coffee at Mcdonalds (using gift card) (2 cafe awards One sticker One on App.

Debating if I should redeem pc pts for the TP offer at Valumart ($3.33 Member price)
