Glad to hear that your symptoms have disappeared.
I am curious how those folks who experienced post-vaccination effects feel towards future CoVid vaccinations/booster shots.
Having suffered the effects once, what are your thoughts and feelings towards future shots that might come 6 or 12 months annually? My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

@HermanH , I had 2 rough days after my 2nd Moderna vaccination....24 hrs after my 2nd I had most of the symptoms of the flu...freezing cold (only the blanket my Hubby warmed up for me in the dryer helped), icky skin feeling, I rarely get headaches, but had a doozy starting from the back of my neck. It lasted all day and of course I wasn't able to sleep on that side for a few days.
My second bout came after about another 24 hrs, but not as debilitating and it only lasted through the evening.
I didn't know I'd feel so relieved to get my 2nd shot, but I sure did and I'd go through it again...with my Hubby and hot blankets.

ahem! speaking of vaccines!! DH and I finally ( like 10 minutes ago!! ) got an email from Rexall to book our 2nd Pfizer vaccine.
Our scheduled date ( where we got the first shot, which was not at Rexall ) was for August 3rd and we'd been trying to get an earlier appt.
Waste of time trying to get it online, so opted to be put on Rexall's wait-list.
We both go this Tuesday!! I very much hope for NO side effects. I never had any with the first, so???
@Natalka that is such uplifting news about your healing skin, and your enjoyment of food when your sense of taste returns...must feel freeing when that yuckiness lets up each time.
So very sad about the discovery of the graves in Sask. More heartbreak for First Nations People.
Derek Chauvin was given 22 1/2 years in prison. My feeling is down the road there had better NOT be time reduced for ANY good behaviour!! A total POS.

Just after 4 a.m. seems like an appropriate time to document Frankie's newest feat! His FEET!
i was convinced he had what they refer to as splayed legs, but DH fashioned him a " perch " and the instant he felt the pencil beneath his feet he grabbed on!!
We are so excited for this newest milestone.

Good morning!
@walkonby , your care and attention to the needs of Frankie sure explains why your kids have grown up so beautifully! 🤗
He's becoming a real bird! Lol!
Love the pics, keep 'em coming!
Hubby just asked what you're feeding Frankie...I know you were feeding egg yolks with water...have you researched when it or if that changes?
Have a great day, everyone!Last edited by Lynn49; Sat, Jun 26th, 2021 at 10:32 AM.

ladies....how is it something so teensy, bald and not even seeming real ends up capturing our hearts? We're hopelessly attached, so who exactly imprinted on whom? ha ha

I think all animal lovers can answer than one! He is so cute, in a fluffy helpless way. I think his recovery has been aided by a beer box house with it's medicinal barley and hops healing powers--so Canadian to make anything out of a beer box: sled, baby bed...
Now, the important thing, have you combined your excellent baking skills with bird feedings? I feel like 'Bird Cakes by _____' it's an opportunity waiting to happen.

Wow, I made a decently long post here, and it's totally not here.
Gah!
Happy 🐈 urday!
Son was over before 10 this morn to drop off a fan for me. So many of them on my wish list were OOS, but he found one on sale at Home Hardware. It's to replace a pedestal fan - my husband had tripped on the base, it fell down and a blade broke off. He had put in a blade from another fan, but the cage wouldn't close over it.
The new one is a Honeywell, black pedestal fan with a remote - a pricey extra but I won't have to bug my husband to change speeds so many times during the day.
I had napped after supper last night - could not help it - so I was up all night. Slept a few hours, but I am sleepy again, just after I had my lunch - I didn't have brekkie.
Going to 29 today, then we will get into the 30s for the week, ick!
Enjoy your day!

Hello those of you on Frankie watch.....he just ate his first mealworm! @Lynn49 you may let your DH know that up until today his diet has been a variety of 3 mush mixtures. Egg yolk and water, dry cat food soaked in water and fine cornmeal with water.
We lift some of the mush onto the end of a Gum soft tooth thing
and dump it into his open mouth ( he is a bit of a messy eater ).
Today DH made a trip to the fish store on Kennedy Rd and came back with live crickets and mealworms.
Frankie gobbled the worm up happily.
o.k. now do NOT laugh...any of you.
This morning after getting gas I went to the Thrift store nearby and actually found a hilarious item that can be used as a bird cage for $14.99
At PetSmart new @$49.99 ( gulp! ) Meant to house hamsters.
it is shaped like a car! AND the 4 wheels lights up! ( I giggled when I saw the USB cord attached.)
He's too small just yet to be in there ( no warmth ) BUT once he wants to flap those wings of his, he'll have ample room to flutter about.
It measures 20" long x 11" wide x 10" tall.
Spoiled bird.Last edited by walkonby; Sat, Jun 26th, 2021 at 06:19 PM.
