So I have been exceeding my zone minutes for the week. They are the active minutes that are recommended by the World Health Organization and the American Heart Association for physical activity. 150 is the minimum and I’ve been over 500 (517 is my current best). Now I’m starting a new week so gotta see if I can beat that.
Since my morning was filled with an early morning physio appointment, grocery shop, and laundry now I’m set to workout. Same general plan. 5-10 minute warm up and stretch, 20 min strength training (lower body today), 20-30min ride and if I’m feeling it 10-15 core (that may not happen) and the usual 10 min cooldown stretch.
It may seem like a long time but it’s actually much more effective and efficient that when I used to hit the gym. No more waiting for equipment and sanitizing. Love working out from home.
To any and all movement today!

I've been doing ok this year as far as fitness. My weight is fairly stready and I've lost 3 lbs from my early January weight. I've done 49 workouts so far this year plus mini walks with my dog. It's a combo of rowing, cycling, yoga and stretches for me. I even earned a 5k medal but instead of running (which I can't), I rode my bike 5.5 miles during the the live run on ifit. It's simply about participating for me.
I really enjoy the ifit program and and I share some of my workouts with my family on Strava.
I put on my Joe Fresh yoga pants this morning and love them. I bought them with my PC points for boxing day sales. It's worth having nicer clothes to workout...even nicer when they were essentially FREE.

WTG @crafter
yay for your 5k medal. I think we have all learned to pivot and that may mean changes in fitness like cycling instead of running (I’m in that boat now).
Yesterday ended up being a 20 min intermediate level body weight strength class. I realized how uncoordinated I am when it comes to burpee’s ! Those are not possible now. Push-ups are a major work in process but squats, lunges, high planks and bear squats are my jam! Just have to be careful of my knee. Finished up with a 30 mins 12.2km 80’s ride!
Today I’ll be taking it easier since I’ve got a packed week with work. Either a low impact ride or another weight session. We will see what motivates me…..right now it’s the coffee machine and the couch

Argggh, I've been jinxed by talking about it!
A touch of stiffness may signal the return of plantar. Gotta keep up the regiment of stretches and toe curls. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Thanks @crafter . I’m becoming somewhat of a running shoe obsessed lady now. Goodbye sparkly heels and hello runner and hikers

Still loving our peloton so if anyone is thinking about getting one I highly recommend it. I also love that it really doesn’t take up much room which is perfect since we are in a small condo.
I’m at 33 workouts in 13 days and loving it. It’s been a mix of all kinds of training but I try to do a cardio ride ( omg the 80’s music rides are my fave along with the mental health ride <3) and then it’s strength followed by stretching.
Since last night was a David Bowie upper body workout today I’ll be doing a lower body strength and then tomorrow it’s core for my strength.
I burned almost the same calories in my 15 min HIIT ride that I used to in my endurance running for 30-45 min. It’s crazy!
Hope everyone has a fantastic day and gets their movement in

Wow! That's excellent (and pretty hard-core!) I tried stationary bikes and didn't like them, primarily because my crotch area was always so sore afterwards. Any suggestions? Are there different types of seats available? I've stuck with walking/running because 'the Boys' don't get all smushed and crushed.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

My girlie parts hurt bad the first ride ( we got to try it at the Fairmont Whistler in October). Since we got our 2 weeks ago it hasn’t been bad for some reason. I have opted to place a towel down but that’s because I don’t rise out of the saddle yet (gotta work up to it) so that helps but I’m going to order a gel seat cover and apparently biking shorts with padding are heaven so that’s what I’m going to do when I graduate to rising more.

Today I completed a 7km ride in Tempe AZ, intermediate core session it’s modifications due to old lower back injury and the fact I have ZERO core muscles
followed up by 2 lower body stretching classes cause it felt soooooo good. Had some baby carrots after for a snack and plan on doing my favourite mental health ride tonight which usually works out to be between 7-8km. This is my favourite ride. It hits deep and helps with my anxiety.
Now, what’s for dinner????……….

Yesterday marks 2 weeks since we got the peloton and I’m still in love, actually it’s kinda a love/hate relationship
.
So far I’ve done 41 various workouts in that time and I’m seeing such an improvement in my numbers. I got my PB on my fave ride (the mental health ride for 2021). Actually I smashed it. Tried a boxing class but completely failed since I’m not really coordinated but that’s ok. It will come someday.
Yesterday I did a Taylor Swift stretching class followed by Glutes and Legs and then finished with my 9km mental health ride.
Great thing is that that only takes up 40 min of my day. I love that if I only have 15 or 20 minutes to workout my instructor makes me work hard and give it my all for those few minutes I have.
Going to enjoy a walk while the sun is finally shining out West.

Last night I did a 20 min David Bowie upper body workout, then a 10 min core class and my stretch class.
I procrastinated with my workout today so now I have to get it done before bed. It was a bit if a rough day for me and I struggled with getting motivated. That’s ok, sometimes it happens. I will still get on the bike and get a ride in. Hubby and I did do a 4Km walk after work but it was slow and easy so I need to get sweaty
