Just took cara to the splash pad 12 minutes away uphill in a wagon ,man my knee was killing me today so took an anti-flamitory pill .She found a stick and an pine corn and painted them with water colours and said she had a wand -we used duck tape to tape them together .So cute to see such and imagination at play .

Took the kids to another garage sale this afternoon. I picked up a free blender with a damaged lid. I’ll wash it up and see how it performs. I let Ds pick out some free small random electronics that he can learn from at home. I picked up 3 outdoor flower pots for a total of $5. Nothing fancy, but they’ll do the trick this summer. I also bought twin girl a Halloween costume that she wanted for $4.

Yesterday we went a garage sale and spent $15 in total. We came home with two fan style rakes, one small/different type of garden hoe, three small clay pots, a nice small 15 drawer organizer for screws/nails, a tool kit with small screwdrivers/wire cutters/needle nosed pliers, 3 padlocks with keys, etc.

Stopped at a different garage sale on our way home yesterday. I bought a single person skipping rope, and two small bins with latching lids. The kids had fun picking stuff out of their free box. Twin girl picked out a variety of kids jewelry from the 1990s.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Feeling much better today but also getting super worried. SIL called his morning, 3 of our family members who were also exposed are now sick, they have not tested positive yet but it is coming. I was feeling super hot this morning and was worried but I took my temp and I do not have a fever.

I was much closer to the exposure so I kind of feel like a ticking time bomb. But with that being said I have not tested yet today, ugh trying to talk myself into it, not a nice experience.

But since I am feeling better I am slowly working on getting some things done around the house.

I got the dishwasher emptied and reloaded. Still some hand dishes to do but thinking I want to get some cooking done, just in case. This way if I do test positive (finger crossed, I don't) but we will have some quick meals ready to go.

Thinking I might just make a bunch of sides, cook up some rice, pasta and potatoes we can use later. Maybe see if I can find some instant pot recipes to make, loving the dump and cook. Last night since we were not feeling out best (thinking it was booster as we both got it at the same time) I made Dump & Start Alfredo with chicken, mushrooms & broccoli.

    Happy Saturday Everyone

I didn’t either until I saw $XXX.xx Telus rewards so I looked at the catalog to redeem and saw they had not much for us except Starbucks GC’s. If you have Telus I’d check into it.

I hope you continue to be negative @SassyAshley . I know it’s hard to do but try to not stress to much. Stress reduces your immune system and that won’t be good regardless. I know it’s easier said than done because I’m a stressor especially when it comes to Covid. When Dh tested positive in may I fully expected to get it since obviously we’re are in close contact and we smooched the days before but I was fine. Now I admit I didn’t test myself but I had ZERO symptoms, we immediately isolated him and I stayed home for his quarantine period.

So far today I’ve bedroom, made Dh his lunch, tidied the kitchen after that (I was up until 11pm cleaning the kitchen last night), helped an older neighbour clean her floors, done a strength class and now having a coffee and it’s now 11:45.

Just planning on some laundry, tidying up the garden, and I really should tackle the shower and head out for a walk. Oh ya, and do a shopping list for this week.

Sorry SA to hear you may have been exposed to Covid at work-our 19 year old refugee who just moved out on her own on July 1 finds herself in the same boat as you-and obviously quite worried too-she was emailing me yesterday. Hoping if you do get it your symptoms will be mild and you will recover quickly.

Angela-wishing you all the best with your new teaching contract and the changes in your M-F living arrangements.

DH and I did a bit of shopping today-what the heck has happened to the price of apples lately? Or maybe just here. It seemed like everywhere was charging $2-$3 per lb and the Naturally Imperfect we usually buy at $1 a pound were nowhere to be found. Anyway I finally found an 5 lb bag of apples for $8 which was the best I could do. Perhaps in a month or so when the new crop starts coming in the prices might be better-who knows these days.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes.

So far I am negative, I tested again this afternoon. I do feel like I am getting a sinus infection and am more tired than normal which is concerning but I will just keep testing. I have test again either Monday or Tuesday to go back to work. As of right now I am not schedule to be on site Monday but with everything going on I may test Monday and go in. This was a large exposure and we may not know until Monday who all tests positive when we find out they cannot come in.

Found out most of my family (all of us except Bro's fiancée were exposed at work) all thought I would forsure test positive since I was in closer contact, guess we shall see.
@lizzie bargain I have found the Naturally Imperfect Apples are still a $1/lb but so hit and miss to find. One time I was at my local store they had tons (of course, I did not need any), next week none, the following week there was 1 bag that did not look good. I was going to go searching for them this week, there are 2 stores I can check but I won't be leaving my house until I test negative either Monday or Tuesday.

Did not get as much done today as I would have liked but I went into this weekend with no expectations so I got more done than I had planned.

I cooked up a batch of rice to have in the fridge for the week.

Last weekend I did the 0 minute Instant Pot method to "steam" some broccoli and cauliflower, we did not eat it all so what was left has been flash frozen and put in a baggie for later.

Deep Cleaned my Air Fryer, I used it to heat up my lunch and decided why not deep clean it LOL. It needed it.

I was going to make more mini waffles for the freezer but we ended up having waffles for dinner so there are some leftover for the freezer. Not as many as I wanted since we had some for dinner so I might make another batch tomorrow. Breakfast is a struggle in our house so I am always look for quick and easy options.

This afternoon I got so super tired and feeling like I could not function so I took a break. I did not nap out but just chilled on the couch and started watching the new season of Blown Away on Netflix, it is a glass competition.

The kitchen was clean until we made dinner, will probably leave the dinner dishes for tomorrow. As much as I love a clean kitchen in the morning so I can get right to work, the tired is taking over again.

Right now the plan for tomorrow is:
Instant Pot Potatoes - "boiled" Potatoes we can use later
Maybe some Instant Pot Pasta that could be used for dinner or a pasta salad
Maybe some Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, I enjoy taking these to work for breakfast
If I make the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes I will need to make some Berry Sauce to go with them, oh my so good
I need to ingredient prep, we are out of chopped up romaine, I do not have my salad fixings (cucumbers, carrots and peppers)

I did clean out the fridge today, we have some pepper and cucumbers I need to use up. I am trying to use what we need to use but I do not want to go overboard just in case. I hope to continue testing negative but if I don't that will mean no shopping this week and making what we have stretch but I also want to be prepared that when I continue test negative, I will be in the office this week and will need lunches and breakfasts.

Ugh the waiting is the hardest part right now and not being able to plan. It is like I have to have 2 plans. Yesterday, if you asked me if I tested negative today I would have thought I was in the clear. But with people who were not as close to me as the exposure becoming sick and my sinuses acting up and the tiredness now I am not sure.

Not the day I planned to have. So not much is accomplished here. We went to see my mother in law and we know we are near the end but suddenly it’s much sooner than we expected. So what we thought would be the usual visit became hours long. We will go back Sunday with our sons for what is likely their last visit. My older son drove down yesterday so he had just seen his gran. My mom is an absolute blessing. She went in to visit tonight and said she will stay as long as the nurses will let her. I am sure I have shared that our parents became good friends. My mom lives very close and for us it’s a drive. So my mom is giving me updates.
We were late coming home and take out sound great (both DH and I missed lunch) but we needed groceries too so we took advantage of the sausage burger offer at no frills and came home to bbq. I only bought the bare necessities as we may not be home much this week.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Could you be able to go to a larger city and see if you can get one of the swag bags? Sometimes you have to go to the opportunity. Hope you get a favourable reply to your letter.
