Morning!
I have everything ready on the stove to make my breakfast (oatmeal) but I am tying to wait. Trying to have my 1st meal of the day late in the morning really helps me for the rest of the day to eat less and make better choices.
Dinner tonight will be chicken souvlaki kabobs and veggies on the bbq.
Dog sitting so will be taking the pup out for walks today which is great for me too
Going away to visit family this weekend and they have "ordered in" Thanksgiving dinner. Yikes! We did that one year and it was crap lol So I'm not really to worried about over eating. We plan to take the young kids to a park that day since we going there early afternoon (after our 6+ hour drive to get there) so I will get out for a good walk while there before dinner. Sunday we have brunch at another family gathering so will have the evening back at our hotel downtown so will hopefully get out for a walk then too. Or just go to the gym at the hotel! I will probably do that to mix it up (and I miss my gym membership but I don't miss paying for it)
Wishing you all a "good" long weekend!

well, I'm trying something else to curb my weight, the 1200 calorie a day thing seems to have run its course, I've slipped here and there, so 2 days ago I thought I'd give Intermittent Fasting another go! The last time I practiced this I found it worked wonders/ ( oh btw, my stupid key that makes a period at the end of the sentence seems to be malfunctioning and makes the letter n instead of a period?? wtf?
So my Intermittent Fasting window for eating is noon till 8 pm, then it's nada until noon the next day/ I've sipped the odd decaf coffee ( black ), will reach for an AHA or Bubly beverage if I feel really tempted to eat, as well as drinking plain water too/ I'm not weighing, measuring foods or counting calories/ Just NOT eating the usual clearly toxic foods/
aka: any processed sugar items, but will still eat my berries, most white carbs are off limits/ Oh goody! In one more hour I can start making " breakfast " ha ha

Good for you. Looking forward to hearing how your intermittent fasting goes. I'm trying to get back into a fitness routine. I'm hoping that the time change this weekend will give me more time in the mornings to workout. I seem to run out of time each day..no excuse, I know.

Hi All! Girls weekend sent me over the edge lol. My darn sister brought my fav sweet (Nanaimo bars!) and I am pretty sure I ate them all!
I need to get back to my good eating routine. So tomorrow I will start the day off right! And make time for walks during my work day. I dug out my winter jacket so I have no excuses

My Gym membership hold came off so I better start using it since I am paying for it!
As stressed as I am with work this week I will go today afterwork! If I go Monday it sets me up well for the rest of the week so I am going to do it!

Good Morning ladies and gents! Happy New Year!
Healthy eating and moving my body! That is the 2024 plan!
Our freezer is stocked with chicken/shrimp and steak. My plan is to cook a protein and veggies to have ready to heat and eat.
Buying a kayak and mountain bike! Anything to get me out and about. We have a great place to Kayak in our town. Found a good deal on a mountain bike the other day that I might pick up tomorrow. Just need to research it first and make sure it is a good bike. With no snow I can start using it
Wishing you all a healthy 2024 and hope to see your posts of inspiration

I would eventaully like to get back into working out but for now, I am going to focus on my eating.
January's goals are:
3 Water Bottles of Water a day (24 oz each)
Eat 3 Meals a day, I am the worst for skipping one or sometimes even two meals in a day. The only guarantee is Dinner.
Eat more Fruits & Veggies, my goal is a minimum 3 a day
Once I achieve these I will start to focus more on what we are eating. But I find if I am on track with my Fruits and Veggies each day the rest falls into place because I am eating less of the other stuff because I am eating more Fruits and Veggies.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
follow along as tackle day to day life and whatever else 2021 throws at me:

Yesterday was hard but I made it through.
Going forward should be better since I am more prepared. Cooked up tons of food this morning for me and others
. Have 4 Chicken/veg/bit of rice bowls ready to heat and eat. (Dinner) This way I can go out walking/work out etc and know I have food ready to eat. My late night craving/snack is frozen raspberries.
Played with my kettle bell this morning and am liking it so far

Sore yesterday from Kettle Bell. Just did a few squats and a walk last night. Sore today lol
Will keep at it and I am sure it won't be so bad down the road
Plan on lots of running around this weekend so should get lots of steps in.

Has it been 7 years since I started this thread?!?!
Yet here I am again! Hahaha!
I’m still down about 25lbs since that date, but I want to lose more…not a lot, I’m being realistic, I feel better about 20 lbs less than this and THAT was where I was last spring!
I lost a lot of weight then, on NOOM, and I’m on it again because it works. The gain was my fault, and summer, and Matt& Steve’s Caesars, and bbqs and camping parties!
@walkonby knows how we’ve both struggled, and continue to…it’s easier when you’re young, that’s for sure and I envy you gals who can exercise. I can’t, even walking is a pain, lol…literally, as overused as that word is!
Soooo….….…..

sniff, sniff... Lynn49 your post had me choked up as well....so many tries with great success, then fall, fall, slip and fall back. We could write a book!
I'm almost considering the all meat diet ( steak is my go to ) with only water as a beverage. meh?? I love my fresh fruit and veggies too much to eliminate them all. Watched a video and it almost has me convinced to try. We'll see.
