Screw that. If I am going to be forced to pay, I'll go to Walmart or anywhere else and get the same price, but will at least get a better flavour selection. If RCSS wants to play stupid games, they get to win stupid prizes. I will make sure I go ANYWHERE except RCSS.
@HermanH that is terrible! I used my coupon on the new fancy Chapman's ice cream at Fortinos and they accepted the $4 off coupon with no issue. I wouldn't be giving them my business either. To be charged $1.50 when it's on sale for $4 is wrong. They order enough inventory that the coupon would have been accepted regardless. I would write to the head office as that is just wrong.

We had an energy assessment done for free and they gave us some electric and heating tips and help
Here's what we qualified for :
    Free assesment
Free Ecobee smart thermostat and install
Replacement of of all of our lightbulbs to LED (Plus extras)
2 energy saving power bars (really high quality)
    A folding dryer rack
A timer for our Christmas tree
They offered us a free replacement fridge (they take your old one)but we turned it down (it was a model we didn't like when we owned one before).
There are other benefits too depending on the outcome of a person's energy assessment
@crafter I used this program, though I didn't get all the stuff listed. They gave me one lightbulb, the ecobee thermostat, GE fridge, clothesline and drying rack. My rep was short some of the products but said they would have replaced my freezer if I had one. Overall very happy with everything. Can't complain about free

    Good Morning Everyone,
Up early and trying to talk myself into getting all of the things done.

I did not get all my cleaning done yesterday, I felt like I lost time in the afternoon. One minute it was 12:30 and I was sitting down to lunch and all of a sudden it was 3 pm. Plus, when I sat down for lunch it was all over, I felt very done.

Originally the plan was to get my cleaning done and then do my prep for the week but I think I am going to prep first as that will be key to staying on track this week.

I did make a batch of Dutch Oven bread last night which is proofing in my microwave and will go in the Oven soon. I have tons of produce to prep, I want to make some muffins and maybe some Peanut Butter Blossom bars. Also thinking I will make some soup we can have for lunches with the Homemade Bread.

So much I want to get done but it feels like so little time. It kind of feels never-ending.

    Happy Sunday Everyone

    Oh that's fantastic news @barbis9 !! It's a great program isn't it

That's awesome about the fridge and the thermostat. We really like the Ecobee thermostat especially how we're able to control it with our phone app.

I wish we had've brought our old freezer from Aurora...it would've been nice to have a replacement freezer to use here..we just have a tiny one with our fridge now

I've put off the grocery shop until today but not in the mood to head out. DH has his hygienist appt. first so maybe I'll feel more motivated after he returns.
Very tempted to pop over to WM just to grab their flyer, then use it at NF to PM for the cheap raspberries. ( I do have an offer on raspberries for points on each $1.00 spent )
Good thing both stores are very close to home, otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Jury is out on whether I can reach the spend threshold to earn 30,000 points. I'd have to spend another $150.00. Topping up a few of my supplements can help and I do have an offer for points on them as well. We'll see.
@coupon girl hope you were able to find your " ages old " marriage document.....lol I know that feeling. Where on earth did I bury ours? At one time when we first got married I had it in a frame on the wall! ha ha Young and silly then. @SassyAshley when you mentioned getting less motivated to clean after eating....yep! Me too. I'll borrow the phrase " stay hungry " but not for the Steve Jobs reference.
Seems the longer I keep my nose to the housework grindstone and not fuel up with food, the better I work. In a side bar, we did NO real housework this weekend, put it all off till this week. ha ha

    Happy Monday!

Saturday was such a beautiful day. Did housework and running around to enjoy the weather. Took dog for walk down at the waterfront at the town docks.
Then Sunday was a crappy day weather wise. Went out in the morning to try and walk but then it started raining and made me a homebody!
Today- another dark gray rainy day. I have a busy work day so I guess that is ok. Will get my work done and then hopefully it will be nice out to get our for a bit....wishful thinking

Yesterday I was motivated to play in the kitchen. Finally made the pasta shells filled with ground turkey etc dish. Tried it and I am not a fan. DS liked it and ate it all which is good. No waste because it cost a small fortune to make lol Saturday I found evaporated milk on clearance ($2.79 less $2 Expires end of December) Decided to make the fudge receipe on the can for my girls weekend next week. It didn't set (I followed the receipe but put in too much butter so that must be why) So I may try to fix it (reboil it) Boy, not feeling confident in the kitchen now

Today- Clean out the fridge and wash up the few dishes. Will make a pot of rice, chop veggies and just need to add a protein (thinking Shrimp since I stocked us up but still have 4 packages we had already that I will use up first- 2 are skewers for bbq- was an amazing deal- I should have bought more then the 3 I did grab to try. Have a bin of clean folded laundry/towels to put away. ( I cheated and went to the laundromat on the weekend to get it all done and folded )

Ok off to get this work day out of the way so I can get some things done around the house.
    Have a great day!
