Did the CBSA unions ratify the tentative agreement by the end of July 4th? What of the screening agents at airports who were due to strike also?

Cdn Tire had a clearance priced usb type c hub for $22 and change. Two usb A ports, a charging usb c port, a regular usb cport and an Hdmi port at one end. Figured I could just plug in the printer's usb a cable into hub attached to tablet and the print app would work.No.
@Frugalbigmama this tablet has operational range btween 0 and 40C so I understood your scanning project hiccups due to temperatures.Last edited by Ciel21; Sat, Jul 12th, 2025 at 12:32 AM.

Found a portable outside propane heater, complete with all packaging, behind Home Depot. It lists for $150. Probably stolen, opened, and then dumped.

@HermanH I believe you are correct. Our Nova Scotia home has both a wood burning furnace and and Oil furnace. 1 needs to stay when we replace with the heat pumps. This won’t happen until we leave Ontario so for No we live with fans and a window AC unit. It’s 2 story century farmhouse so we need the ability to cool as it does get hot here.
we are currently getting the remnants of hurricane Beryl. So dinner was supposed to be burgers may now be pancakes.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

TGIF!!! The sun is shining but showing rain this afternoon. Have plans to go to beach with friends so we may have to go later then plan.
Friend is boiling eggs for our egg salad sandwiches
DS's clean laundry is put away (it was mostly shirts on hangers to dry so easy to deal with. I am going to put a load in the washer this morning and then hang it to dry. Then I need to clean the bedroom. Clean clothes that needs to be hung up/put away etc. It has been a dumping ground this week.
Then going to putter in the garage and try and deal with a few work boxes that need to be shredded/recycled.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Is anyone that uses the airmiles receipt app having issues? I’m constantly having to rescan, submit missing airmiles inquiries and then waiting for up to 2 weeks to get them added. Then this morning it went through in seconds
. Oh well, it’s just a bit of a pain.
Redeemed for a free Mcds iced coffee this morning as I NEED it! I overdid it at the gym the other day doing my lats and then slept funny on it so yesterday my shoulder was frozen in pain. Had a deep massage and it took 90% of it away but now it feels like the skin is bruised. Ah, the joys of getting older
Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of loosing our boy and it’s rough I’m still missing him terribly
. Dh surprised me by getting me a La belle est vie perfume gift set
. I haven’t purchased any perfume since 2018 and this one was the one my pup loved. I know it sounds weird but it’s true. It’s the only one that he would smell when I had walked down the hall to my parents place and he would come off the elevator , stop, sniff and RACE down the hall because he knew mom was home to get him. Anyways it was so thoughtful.
I'm going to place an Amazon order for a few things that I really don’t feel like driving to several stores for. We need rear bike lights, vented food fridge storage containers (especially for all my berries), a foam roller for after workouts, and a herb storage container for the fridge.
I’m also looking to get a Yeti water bottle. I have some of the cheaper ones from Costco but the paint is chipping and I can only use it with the straw. I absolutely refuse to get a Stanley as I’ve always loved Yeti and I refuse to follow the online trends. Plus I can have the tumbler customized with photo/ name, etc. now I just need to wait for a good cash back offer on Rakuten.
Sorry for babbling so much…….. off to do some laundry and finish my iced coffee. Have a great weekend everyone

Good Morning Everyone,
UGH, I woke up at 3am this morning and totally thought it was 5am and I was totally wide awake but there was no way I was starting my Saturday morning at 3am so I forced myself back to bed. Bad idea, I fell asleep in a bad position and no my neck and shoulders are killing me so took a Robax, let's hope it helps.
It is one of those days where I have a million things I need to do but all I have accomplished since I got up at 7 is drinking a cup of tea and spending way too much time scrolling on Instagram.
My Thursday meeting got postponed, which was fine except I was going to grocery shop my way home after, now I am gonna be real, did I want to grocery shop, nope but I live in Cottage Country and if I wanted the deals I had to shop. Can anyone tell me when Peppers got so expensive?????
We always have Carrots, Onions, Mushrooms, Potatoes and Peppers on hand, those are our staples. The No Name Peppers are now $7.50
that was the cheapest option, maybe I missed it but no one seems to have peppers on sale, need to check out the Costco price. But I bought the peppers because I had plans for grilled veggies plus I love my some peppers but not happy.
I got tons of produce and stocked up on Pasta including Ozo (love that they are including this in the sale) and we are stocked up.
Friday I had my meeting ended up going to all 3 locations now that we have 3 in the same town, my meeting was in the Plant went there, went to the branch talked to my trainee who will be tested soon, then went to head office to drop off my receipts as it is that time of the month. Once that was done came home picked up Mom so we could get her car. This week has been so bad for her, oh my gosh, she is struggling and even yesterday she could not figure out how to get in my car. I feel so helpless because I cannot help her but I also couldn't go get her car alone because the mechanic is about 15 minutes away and I cannot drive 2 cars home.
Before we got the car I went to Food Basics to grab the mushroom they had on sale and grabbed a few other things.
I need to clean my kitchen, my fridge is busting at the seams, there are groceries on the pantry floor waiting to be put away, my upstairs hallway is a mess with things that need to go into the Bathroom yet here I sit with no ambition.
I know I need to turn this around and get stuff done but we will see.
Happy Saturday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
follow along as tackle day to day life and whatever else 2021 throws at me:

@harbie (((HUGS)))) that was very nice and caring of your DH
As for the AM receipt Scan it’s been wonky for the past month . And most of the time the items are not being recognized

@harbie I find Air Miles to be temperamental. I have to inquire on half my items. The one that always gets me is a Sobeys receipt. Especially the yogurt. Sobeys calls it yogurt and no name brand.
we spent most of the day building the gazebo and man it’s hot here. But now we have a nice breeze so every window in the house is open trying to cool off the house.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
