@Frugalbigmama , that is one thing I find with being remote is that it is so easy to not leave. Mix that with a keeping a stockpile there can be no reason to go out LOL.

Although I am good being a homebody but I have had a few times when someone would ask me something and it would hit me, I haven't left the house in 9 days.

This year I am trying to be more conscious and work is helping because I keep getting called into various locations which forces me to go out.

With 7 sea days in a row we are not going anywhere. Tomorrow we cross the equator which explains why it is getting hot.

DS came home from work around 430 and reminded me we needed gas for the snowblower. So I told him I would drive him so he could fill up the can and then bring him back home. Since I was in the car I went back up to FB and spent $11.40 on a package of buns, sandwich meat and a block of cheese.
It was snowy very heavily the entire time. I wasn't gone long but at least I went out a bit....still need gas. the idiot light appeared on the drive home. (I usually always keep a full tank but the last few weeks I have seen the light!) I guess it is my rebel way since we seemed to be snowed in on the weekends.

Now I am hungry with a fend for yourself kind of night and don't really feel like making anything...

DH put exactly 25L in his big @$$ed truck and earned 13.00 something in points because we also had the 2.00 app bonus. I am sure Friday I will be able to take advantage of the Shell offer for my SUV and fingers crossed I will need enough to qualify for my 4th fill up of the month because I just depleted my AM with a 50.00 Winners and a 100.00 Walmart gift card. Both were on sale and so now I want to rebuild my AM.

Morning! Another night of snow! Apparently we are expecting snow squalls into tomorrow.
I will do some running around later today- I need some fresh groceries

Work- I can finally start on year end reporting- I worked till after 6pm last night to finish up a few things since I just wanted to be ready to start fresh today. Like high school exam studying fashion- I started cleaning stuff that I haven't touched in a while! Totally organized the pile of papers (in file folders) and tossed tons!
My reward tomorrow is to go to Staples and get work supplies. Haven't done a supply run in awhile and I need copy paper now that I have my printer working again and some new gel pens and fancy file folders

Last night's dinner was pancakes! Added frozen blueberries. Did the trick and was able to finish a box that had a bit in it and open new box that expires in a few months. Will make them again in a few weeks. It really is a cheap and change of the the usual meal.
Tonight I will make something good from whatever I buy today....a few items on sale today and will make a great meal. (maybe Feb will be eat out of the freezer exclusively lol)

    Have a wonderful day!

I was considering deleting the Moneywalk app because earning points towards a high redemption item was taking too long. A few days ago I checked the redemption options in the app and discovered $5 and $10 Amazon gift cards. I redeemed for one $10 Amazon gc and received it in my email today. I’m going to redeem more saved points for the Amazon gift cards now that I know it works.

If anyone is interested in using the app, let lease consider using my referral code. [Moneywalk] Earn up to 300,000 points.Rack up points fast by inviting friends and earning points when they invite friends.Get 500 points right now if you are invited

Good late morning. Posting late but up at usual 4:15/4:30.

Today starts an extra long weekend for me since I’ve been busting my rear all January so far and boy do I need it.

My dad “got sick” on Tuesday morning which is a very bad thing due to his cancer and his age. I used quotation marks because he had the classic symptoms of the flu (Extreme chills, vomited, body aches) but after he puked he said he felt way better and then next morning he felt back to normal. Not sure if it was a bug he picked up or an odd response to his meds ( but he’s been on those for a while so most likely not that). Thankfully he’s ok now. Just what everyone needs now is for him to end up in the hospital.

A week and a half ago I finished my 2025 taxes! This is the earliest I’ve ever been done. So now as soon as Dh gets his stuff and our investment info comes we can get it done immediately. Excited for that.

This year is off to a good start with work. I’ve raised my rates with my clients and I was worried that a couple would quit and possibly lead to a trickle down effect since they’re all kinda connected via family or friend relationships but the opposite happened. Basically more $$$ and even options for more clients! My bank account loves it but my body not so much

Today’s plan is to hit the gym when Dh comes home, a bit of laundry and rest. I want the looming headache not to explode.

Off to check out the flyers

    Good late afternoon everyone,

Since the few last days I am fighting a flu and a cold.
I think it is at his end.
I think I caught it from my father who as it before but he is vaccinated.
It will be very cold this week end.

Being sick, doing the grocery was a real challenge but I made it.

    ***A little rant***:
I was very upset because the zipper of one of my boot broke .
I have a pair of spare boots but I dont like those.
I have these boots since 3 years, a good pair.
Father went to a workshop to repair the broken zipper cost 15$ taxes included.
I guess it is better than a new pair of boot at 120$( the price I paid for those)

I am wishing everyone a great end of afternoon, evening and night!!!

Don't forget to play the spin to win wheel game on the PCO app for discounts or free products.
I just won a 1,00$ off Single Kraft Cheese again...
Oh well...better luck next week I guess.
The game is on from January 15 to January 28.

@coupon girl ! ty for the heads up about the MOI offer allowing the $3.99 price for all 4 pounds of the limit.
I'll head out tomorrow to get ours, my MOI offers are loaded.
@harbie that is great news about the notice to an increase for your clients was met with positive responses.
So glad the nausea and illness your Dad had was short term.
@cath007 I used to regularly use a shoe repair service to get more life out of shoes, boots, even a handbag!
It depended on what the item cost to begin with, very inexpensive footwear was not worth paying for repair.

It is still TOO DARN cold out for me to make any runs today. Friday I should be in a better frame of mind.
