I love savoy cabbage, with its soft curly leaves, bright green colour and I love the taste as well. My question/complaint/rant is should a head of it cost NINE DOLLARS!!? It was the smallest one in the bin and when the gal weighed it at WM up came an amount over $9.00. I must have sounded like a horse rider as I said " whoa! , is that the price? " So I didn't buy it. Very sad, Vegetables should be free because they are healthy for our bodies. ha ha

That's crazy expensive for cabbage! I had a seniors moment with cabbage pricing this week. I went to buy cabbage on Tuesday for a corned beef recipe I was trying. I popped into Freshco where it was priced around $2.49/lb ...I thought, that's way too much!...I'm going to look on and price match...I continued on...picked up Squash and sweet potatoes at a good price. I then popped over to Independent to grab a few things and noticed perfect sized cabbages on sale for a great price. I thought drat, it's too bad that I forgot to price my cabbage at Freshco but at least I got some cabbage. I got home and NOPE, I completely FORGOT to buy cabbage!! lol..on a good note...I didn't overpay for it afterall

@crafter !! I know right? $2.49 a pound? Good Grief.
Regular green cabbage is currently .88 a pound at FB and .99 a pound at Metro....BUT I needed the darn Savoy kind for a recipe.
So I bit the bullet returning to WM on Thursday grabbing the smallest one that felt the lightest. It still came up to $5.24 and looks
like the price was $4.37 per kg. Is that about $1.99 per pound? Grrr!
Yeah, well the good news was the store manager marked a GIANT head of cauliflower down to $2.00 for me. It was sitting in a cart
of items that were for mark down but had not yet been labeled yet. Small victories!

An insignificant first world rant really. Sitting in line not knowing wtf is going on up ahead was the most aggravating part?

At the car wash, I had a code that I needed to use up ( bought earlier ). Only 1 vehicle in front of me...the sun was shining!!
woo hoo!!
Ten minutes later,
now 5 cars are behind me, guy in front still waiting to enter his code.
Turns out it was a woman's first time ever at one ( bwahaha!! ) and as she drove in the sensor that tells you to STOP as you
approach never lit up so she kept driving forward. Now she was stuck in limbo and nothing was working.
We're not sure how she eventually got out BUT when my turn came, I entered and sure enough that STOP light never came on for me.
However, I knew enough to stop, I even backed up an inch or so and then the sensor came on. What happened next was kind of funny.
All I got was an intense power spray of a final rinse, no soap, nothing and then the signal light prompted me to
GTFO!
I got a refund in the form of a new code to use at another time. I was not going to wait in line all over again.

I hate when people in an elevator push the buttons for their floor before everyone is in the elevator.

Since my cats cannot read or even understand me when I scowl it still needs to be ranted about.
Our elder cat Claudius ( Bless his heart ) is 18 and has periodic episodes of urination that somehow
spray outside of the litter box. He only weighs 7 pounds now and can easily stand dead centre in the
box but no.... he insists on perching on the edge of the box so half the spray hits the rubber mat below.
Normally you'd think that's an easy clean up BUT the mess seeps underneath that mat hitting the plastic
sheet underneath! The top mat looks perfectly dry but the pee soup sits underneath.

It has gotten to the point where I need to sneak up behind him when he comes downstairs to do his business
and physically lift him into the centre of the box. Think of how humiliated he feels when I do that? lol.
o.k. rant over.
OH DEAR LORD!!! Update: As I typed out this rant the little cutie went past me ( undetected ) and did it again!!!
Good thing I have many bottles of spray soapy cleaners and garbage towels to have " His Majesty's " area all pristine
once again. The bright side? I WAS going to run a load of washing tonight anyways ( after 7 p.m. ) so more towels
have been added to the tub.
