Happy Birthday to WalkonBy; your __ is commemorated today,
I’m writing you a poem, as a formal birthday bouquet,
I don’t have much birthday advice, or words of sensibility,
Except remember what is important with a touch of humility,
Rememberthere’s a right time when the ball needs spiking,
Be compatible & you’ll find situations can be to your liking,
May all your horses’ whinnies be happy ones that gallop into full tilt,
May you always have blooming flowers, the ones that never wilt,
This is the anniversary of the day you made your premiere,
I hope you have sweet contentment in the coming year.

I have baked chicken breasts, roast chicken, and marinated vegetable salad in the fridge. We'll be having something with chicken. Maybe create a chicken mushroom sauce with pasta or rice. *shrug*

I had a bit of egg leftover from egg washing my kaiser rolls, and made these super quick mug cakes for dessert. Topped with vanilla ice cream it was a nice sweet treat.

tonight it's just me and the little one, not sure yet what is on the menu yet. Probably pasta or some red meat since hubby doesn't like either.

I think I might be changing our supper plans. We might be having a couple friends over to play crib tonight. Not sure if that means we will be ordering in Domino's pizza or not. I have decided not to cook anything until dh gets home and we can talk about it. He'll be home within an hour. Different easy plan for the chicken is chicken wraps. Have fresh veggies and stuff in the fridge already.

So what makes it sweet, other than the fact that your sweet self is making it?

Just put roaster in the oven with onions, potatoes and carrots on the bottom, rib chops on top - Italian spices and garlicky yummness.

(First time posting from tablet; not a fan of one finger typing!)

I had pork chops taken out of the freezer, but while still at work I decided I didn't want to cook tonight. We decided to go to Superstore, they had chicken wings from their prepared food department in the flyer, $10 for 16 wings. But when I got there, they had a deal that had 36 wings plus fries for $21. I got a taco salad too (DS loves those). Was more than enough for us all, lots of leftovers. But I still need to cook those chops, maybe I will take Natalka's idea of, "Just put roaster in the oven with onions, potatoes and carrots on the bottom, rib chops on top - Italian spices and garlicky yummness."

Fresh whole chicken roasted with garlic and lemon juice, potatoes and veggies. That's about all I have energy for as I was looking after my friends 3 year old twin boys all afternoon!

Zonny, and it was a really good meal, too - sometimes the simplest is the best. Husband wiped out the roaster at the end with slices of bread, lol!

I came back here when on the desktop to leave 'likes' - a feature which isn't on the tablet.
