It is work, so that is why both guys offered to help when they get home. I need things like the cheese all grated, the onions chopped, that sort of stuff. DH is actually the cake maker here believe it or not. Should all work out nice. A group effort.

Homemade beef stew tonight. Pretty chilly so it's a good day for it.

Don't really have a plan for dinner tonight but I want something super warm and comforting, got our first real snow fall today. So thinking I will go home and put on a pot of potato soup, normally I would cook it for a few hours but will need to speed it up tonight as cooking time will be approximately 2 hours from the time I get home till Mom gets home. It will be a bit of a late dinner but I think it will hit the spot with this yucky nasty weather we are having.

Just got a 30 pack of fresh buns from the bakery. So, it's up to each of us what meatless items we want to pair with them - sardines, tuna, eggs, pb, etc. - leaving it open.

That's a very good tradition Natalka. For many of us, this season is about indulgence and overeating!

Zonny, during the year, Fridays are meatless for us. Prior to Christmas and Easter, we do it twice a week for the 40 day period before.

Added - will swing open a can of veggie soup to go with bunwiches.

DH and I both went out to lunch (separately) with work people, and had a lot, so we weren't hungry. Made a grilled cheese for DS. He also had a side of egg - I brought out the egg molds I haven't used in awhile, DS had one on the way to the sitter this morning and asked for another this evening. This one is car shaped, I also have a fish, a star, a heart, a pig, a bunny. You peel the hard boiled egg while it's still hot, and put it in this mold and chill for awhile (the egg, not you). Kids love them, and I thought it was kind of cool at breakfast too.
