Tonight I will try and make beef korma-I love it the way my Indian friend makes it so I will give it a try and serve with rice and tomato-onion-lemon juice salad. We picked all our tomatoes before the snow last night.

Had a great morning at tennis and now going to see the salmon run the river. Making a big pot of mushroom soup and garlic toast for dinner tonight.

Yesterday was clear the fridge of leftovers. Son was over for supper, so that helped put a dent in things.
Tonight, I had mushroom soup - really good homemade from Gk restaurant, butterflied shrimp, rice, mixed veggies, garlic toast. Also got lemon roasted potatoes, but I didn't like them and can't figure out why, I usually do.
I was able to eat half of the meal, so that was pretty good for me.
Husband had liver with bacon and onions, with fried.

We had the most gorgeous day on the river watching the sockeye spawn...came home late and starving! Had homemade mushroom soup, garlic toast and red wine. Now sitting on the sofa watching Netflix. I love days like this...fresh air, nature, good food and wine, and sharing a cozy space with dh❤️❤️

Aw, sueshe, that's so nice!
Tonight will be homemade chicken soup, can't wait! It's another cool day, plus it will be good medicine for my lingering cold.

Thank you, it was an amazing day! I love homemade soups and my husband is nuts for them. His mom never made them, they always had canned soup, and he always appreciates my efforts. Sorry you still have a cold but the soup will surely fix it up!
We went on a hike to some local falls this afternoon and stopped at a deli on our way home. We are having a crudités platter with homemade garlic dip and a charcuterie as well. Again my appetite has been off and I’m hoping I’ll eat enough tonight❣️

Tonight it is still nippy- so a night for comfort food. My British Mum used to sometimes make homemade french fries, fried eggs and baked beans for dinner-it is quite yummy and haven't had it forever-besides I think back in the day all 5 of us kids liked it and it was quick, cheap and easy to make.

Lizzie, my Ukrainian mother did the same, except with golden brown fried sliced potatoes. We still like that combo and have it once in a while, but adding ham or some meat for husband.
Supper tonight was a bowl of homemade chicken soup, bun with sliced roasted chicken breast and lots of greens.
