The family has options in the fridge. It's homemade chicken soup with bow tie pasta in it, or cold pasta salad with many colourful diced veg and black beans in it or a slice of turkey breast meat with a side dish of broad egg noodles in a white cheese sauce.
The point is I put a small dent in some of my various noodle/pasta packages from the stockpile.

There’s pork leftover from yesterday and ground beef thawing so not sure what I’ll end up making.. not long finished making “cookies” chocolate mice, chocolate/peanut butter marshmallow squares & another batch of Fantastico bars. Crashing from all the sugar, a lot of test tasting!! It’s a tough job but someone has to do it zzzzzz

braised pork, hard boiled eggs and rice.
i got cooking hard boiled eggs down to how we like the yokes (soft and a bit runny) but the peeling drives me nuts! my eggs do not look nice and smooth. I put eggs straight from the fridge into a pot of tap water (room temp), bring to a boil, then turned to low and time them to my liking. As soon as my timer goes off, i transfer the eggs into a cold ice bath for a few minutes. I gently tab the cooked egg on the counter to crack the shell all over then gently peel the shell. BUT the shell still stick to the egg and the white part would come off with the shell. GRRR.
i googled and watched several vids and going to try some of the tricks out there.
if anyone has a trick they know work all the time i would love to hear. TIA
