Stealing it too, Robyn, thank you!
I can cut out the barley for my "no carb" weekdays!

[QUOTE=Natalka;2014847]Robyn I would love the soup recipe - I haven't used my crockpot yet! If you don't mind, either PM me or leave recipe here so others can get it, too. Thx.

Natalka....did your Mom make a Kapusta Soup? Mine did and I used to make it when the kids were young and now I've lost the recipe....Do you have anything like that? Help?

Robyn, thanks so much for the recipe. Now here's the ironic part - I have that cookbook, but haven't cracked it open yet, sheesh!
Lynn - yes, she made kapusta soup - kapusniak - I'll have to dig up the recipe and post it when I find it!

Tonight for supper - tacos for my son and me (we never did have them the other night), and leftover BBQ burgers for my husband.

DH works nights tonight and he normally cooks on the weekdays when I am still at work and Jack comes home from school, so this will be my second night in the row (and my only two nights in the week!) to cook. Last night's lasagna was a hit as I hope tonight's meal of new york strips with peppercorn gravy, roasted garlic potatoes and trees 'n cheese (broccoli and cheese sauce) will be! I also made a coconut cream square for dessert! Bon Appetit!

tonight my din was awesome, made even better by the fact i didn't have to cook, clean up or prep any of it... thanks to my sis's bf

we had soup, it was so good, it had spinich, broc, carrots, yams, taters, onion, garlic, seasonings and probably more... but once the veggies were cooked, he drained out about 1/2 of the water, and put the veggies in the blender and pureed them (hence why i couldn't tell for sure what was in it) just added some cajun spice to mine and it was amazing

then we had hotdogs like i have never had them b4, but my sis's bf says they eat them like this all the time in chili (where he is originally from)

cook the hotdog however you want (we boiled then fried) warmed up the buns (made them slightly crispy) and then loaded them up with cut up toms, avocado (skinned, pitted, mashed, garlic, lemon juice, and a tiny bit of olive oil) toped with mayo and ketchup (mustard if u like it) and then her bf's not so secret mix of spiciness. to make it he takes an old pickle jar, one bottle of sweet chili sauce, adds green onion, and an entire bunch of fresh cilantro... my sis and him eat this stuff likes its going out of style... it is good i have to admit

here is what the sauce jar looks like, only it has a gold foil label instead of this one, and has no garlic

Tonight is Steak and Mashed Potatoes. Not a combo I would normally have but need to empty the freezer. We still have a pack of those new Mccains potatoes that you just microwave, so I am using them tonight. Nice & easy!

Scallops spagettini. I think i'll do a red and a white sauce with crispy bacon bits to top the dish.

Hey does anyone has a good and EASY recipe for roast beef? I'm thinking of making dinner for my mom on Mother's day. Thanks.

Tomato Basil sausages on the BBQ. Just going to put them in a roll and they can top them withever way they like. I like kraut and mustard or my homemade pepper relish.

I have some potato salad and coleslaw in the fridge so those will be the sides. It's a wishful thinking summer meal. LOL
