BTW: for those that used slowcookers do you thaw out your meat first? I have some frozen chicken breasts (split) and I was wondering if I could throw them in frozen??? I have never done that before so I don't know?

It is pouring rain here and cool so I am making a big pot of Cabbage Soup with dumplings. I just brown the ground beef, add I jar of Spag. sauce, fill up jar with water or stock and add to pot,1 can tomato soup plus 1 can stock or water. Bring to a boil. Turn down and add 2 pkgs. Shredded cabbage( Picked some up the other day for .99 each) Spices ( oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley and pepper) to taste. Simmer. Last 15 minutes of cooking add dumplings. Yum Yum. I have a really good dumpling recipe. if any one is interested. Super fluffy. Or nice with Crusty rolls or bread.

Vegetarian dinner for me tonight! Casserole of pattypan squash, tomatoes, mushrooms, onion, and garlic, baked with a cheddar-parmasan-breadcrumb topping.
BF says he'll have some as a side to his steak tonight
