Good morning fellow SC chief cooks and bottle washers!!

Well I was going to make up a nice pasta/noodle type dish with the whole wheat Catelli ( yolk frre) broad noodles, with the white sauce, instead of red, maybe put sauteed chicken breast pieces in it.

I just happened to look at the bag as I was taking it out of the cupboard and I saw inside the sealed bag little white residue. Sort of like say dust or tiny crumbs.
Anyway that is when I noticed a stamp on the bag that said this

DEC0812MA

Now I hope to goodness it doesn't mean best before Dec 2008?? I tried the 1888 # to ask but they are not open till 9:00 a.m.

Does anyone know what these #'s mean?

OR, it could mean, made in december '08, good until december '12

I just know this update will be the highlight of every ones day here...not. I called the 1-888 # again and they confirmed as so many of you suggested. The code does mean DEC 08, 2012, well I mean really they should not make it like a guessing game when you are trying to cook up a dinner.
I made the broad noodles and then mixed in 1 jar of the white Alfredo sauce and added all the other yummy stuff...diced cooked chicken breast pieces, broccoli, spinach, onions,mushrooms that were sauteed up first.
I wish I had made more, but only had that 1 jar of white sauce.

That mixture the guys took to work to have for their din din, my DD and I are having lemon chicken, steamed rice and broccoli. OOHH I love it when the batter turns out good and it did this time.

Going to the baby shower tonight so no doubt I will be eating bad stuff

DH can fend for himself LOL. Kidding. I will make Hambuger Helper since he loves the stuff and I don't therefore I don't really ever make it.

Last night, ground pork casserole, mushroom sauce base; served over leftover Sidekicks rice.
Tonight, pork tenderloin, roasted potatoes, and whatever veggies I can make to go with.

Hm... pork theme for us recently. Well, beef has been too pricey, and we eat tons of chicken!

No idea tonight but i's going to have to be something warm and comforting since they are saying it's going to get down to -17 with the windchill! YIKES!

I will be checking back for inspiration throughout the day.
