What's For Dinner?

Tonight I'm making a chicken braid. It is cooked chicken, bacon, peppers, onions, mushrooms, one egg yolk, and a bit of thick chicken gravy (made with just condensed stock) in braided puff pastry, brushed with egg whites. I use the cooking instructions for the Tenderflake pear braid that's on the box (450 for 25min). Coupon items used: maple leaf chicken portions, olymel bacon, egg, knorr homestyle stock, tenderflake pastry

Husband didn't work today, so I conned, er.... asked him nicely to make supper. Same thing I was going to make, but he makes it better!

So we had sarma - and there's plenty left for tomorrow for supper, too. YAY!

I am a teacher and my school has hot lunch every Thursday. They made too much today, so I got a free hot turkey sandwich. There was so much extra cooked turkey that I was able to take home about 7lbs worth in freezer bags, otherwise they were going to put it to the trash. So we gave one bag of the meat to our friends and kept the other two bags for our family.

I used my BOGO DQ blizzard coupon after work today.
