Baked fish fillets, leftover pasta, cauliflower.
It was so 'beige', but yummy!
Tonight I redeemed a coupon that I won from the Lion's club for free at their Family Day event. 12" Hawaiian Domino's pizza, cheese bread, and a free VIP card. Not much leftover, but it was free and yummy.

marinating chicken breast in v8 garlic hoisen sauce
roasting red and orange peppers and sweet potato.
Beef Stew is simmering for the boys. I'll have something else though.
Have a great day everyone.
:) :) :) :)
Both me and mom are sick (horrible idea as neither of us have any ambition) so I think tonight we will splurge and order pizza. It is as close as we can get to food magically appearing in front of us.
Pork chops in the crockpot. I also got the idea to dig out my mandoline again today, so I cut some fries, which I'm going to boil a bit and then bake in the oven with olive oil, salt and pepper.
meatloaf and salad
everyone is officially " on their own " . I am off on a " kitchen sabbatical " until further notice. Not to fret,no one will starve here BUT they may learn how to plan, prep and cook or spend their hard earned $$ on take out. ( their choice ) Me? I'll be fine in my secluded gf corner. Today so far it was oatmeal/blueberries and 2 poached eggs on gf English muffin fort moi......mmmm.
Husband is at a meeting, so I sent him with quiche tarts - everyone is taking something, so I guess he'll have a variety of stuff.
So, left to my own devices, and that I'm hungry - I baked two haddock fillets, and had them with pan fried potatoes.
Going to make a green pepper steak stir fry and some rice.
I made some blueberry muffins this morning for dessert.
We picked up a KFC meal yesterday for supper. We will likely be eating it for lunch. Later today I plan on doing some meal prep. I'm teaching the next three days and have things I need to do after work on Tuesday and Wednesday. I'll make chili and rice later today. I'll also boil potatoes and get a shepherd's pie ready to wait in the fridge, I'll bake it in the oven another day. This will also ensure leftovers for my lunches.
Last night a bunch of us went to the Church spaghetti supper, all you can eat. Cesar salad, spaghetti with regular meat sauce or garlic meat sauce, garlic bread, carrot cake and apple cinnamon coffee cake plus coffee and tea. Lots of door prizes. Hubby and i both won a door prize, a nice cheese knife from Stokes and a Polar fleece blanket.
tonight for dinner, i am making beef stir-fry with red and green peppers, onions, celery, mushrooms over flavored steamed rice. And a tomato and onion salad.
I bit the bullet and bought some hamburger for about $4 a pound today, and made some chili in the crockpot, with lots of mushrooms, onions and peppers, black beans and chick peas, and a couple cans of Alymer Accents chili tomatoes. Very tasty, made some homemade bread too (dough made in my bread machine). DS doesn't much like chili, so I made him a piece of salmon.
I cooked up a double pack of lean ground beef from the freezer. I took about 1/3 of the meat and turned it into my meat taco sauce to go with marble cheese melted over nacho chips, with sour cream and salsa. The rest of the meat will still be turned into chili and shepherd's pie.
oops Double post.
breaded pork loin.
Cheese and crackers. Wasn't feeling very hungry.
We had company so DH made his BBQ chicken, with potatoes on the grill and stir fried Indian cabbage-dessert was carrot cake with cream cheese icing. We probably don't need any more calories for 24 hrs!
Hash-brown casserole and chicken
swiss cheese and green grapes
Chili here, too! Made mine with ground pork - and added whatever I could find: diced carrots, onions, kernel corn, barley, cauliflower, can of pork 'n beans.
For the tomatoey part I would normally add a can of whole tomatoes, but my husband had mistakenly bought a package of 'cocktail' tomatoes (greenhouse, on a vine?) instead of field tomatoes which I like for sandwiches. Well, once I cut into those tomatoes they were very juicy, so I just cut them up and used them in the chili. However, very pricey at $5! (I didn't give him too much flak, after all he did do the shopping...) Also added some tomato paste mixed with water, chili powder, s+p, garlic powder.
It was thick and rich and yummy - but no leftovers, even though I made about 3/4 of a dutch oven! I think my son was sad about that, none to take home. (however, I loaded him up with all sorts of other goodies to take).
There was a bit of leftover linguini, so cut that up fine and added to the finished chili, which we ate with fresh bakery bread from Safeway (four loaves for $4!).
Was suppose to go to my grandmother's yesterday for dinner but didn't make it so she already called this morning and has a pile of leftovers saved (jiggs dinner) I love those leftovers, I just hash it up in a frying pan ..meat, veggies, pudding, etc...it's so good...I'm glad too as we have another big storm hitting the east coast (NFLD) have a feeling we could lose power with this one!
Box of precooked egg rolls and leftover steak. Might throw together a quick salad too.
dinner tonight will be yesterdays leftover Pepper steak stir fry. Made too much!
Tonight's dinner is a mystery, we are both working today and nothing was taken out. So it will have to be something we can cook from frozen and is quick.
Maple BBQ Pork Chops, baked potatoes and steamed veggies
Leftover Beef Stew from Saturday. It was really good than and I hope it's just as good today.
