We made fettuccine with a chicken sauce. The sauce was made with chicken breasts, fresh chopped mushrooms, peas, Kraft cooking creme, cream of mushroom soup, with garlic powder and onion powder. It was really good!

Those fresh spring roll wraps thingys I made. Circular rice paper, softened in warm water, filled with vermicelli, fine grated carrot, fresh sprigs of mint leaves, sliced strawberries, then rolled up snug halfway, added 3-4 cooked shrimp along the last space ( so they show from the outside) then flap sides over before rolling all the way up!
Dipping sauce was natural peanut butter blended with VH Sweet Thai Chilli sauce and rice vinegar. Why do they disappear so fast? I eat them cold.

We made pasta salad with peppers, tomato, cukes, and a bit of caesar dressing with BBQ chicken, and ONE sausage between us (soooo delish but in moderation).

Nina, it's a lifesaver sometimes, truly! I had bread to use up quickly.

    Christmas Morning Wife Saver
    ------------------------------
Make the day before, or at least six hours before baking.

Line a 9x13 pan with bread (I leave crusts on because they are yummy!). Recipe says 16 slices total.
Lay over this sliced ham, then slices of cheese (can be real cheese, cheese slices or dollops of Cheez Whiz)
    Cover with slices of bread.

Whisk together in a bowl -
    6 eggs
    3 cups milk
add shakes of salt and pepper; 1/2 tsp dry mustard OR 1 Tbsp prepared mustard; 1 tsp. worst. sauce
    - can add minced onion, green pepper, etc.

Pour mixture over bread in pan, squoosh edges in so everything is soaked and cover, put in fridge.

When ready to bake, melt 1/2 cup margarine and have ready about 1 cup crushed Cornflakes.
Spread some margarine on top of the bread, sprinkle Cornflakes evenly over top, drizzle the rest of the margarine on top. (I sprinkle on a bit of garlic powder and a light dusting of chili powder)

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit 10 minutes before cutting.

Wouldn't be Christmas or Easter without this recipe!!! A family tradition.Be warned that it puffs up quite high in the oven so don't freak out when you make it!
