Going to make pizza and Caesar salad. Bought a little mandolin, so slicing veggies was a breeze. And I started some prep work for Chinese food tomorrow night.

I have an Oxo mandoline, it's a great little tool (got it on clearance one year at Costco for $25)! Sharp as hell though, I was kind of afraid of it for the first while I used it. Now I'm used to it, but would never use it without the guard.

Tonight we had baked chicken leg quarters, baked potato and corn, some romaine lettuce for DS (he loves romaine lettuce, just by itself).

For tomorrow we're going to a New Years party (eight year old too!), I'm thinking of doing a modification of my 'taco soup' and make a kind of a chicken chili to bring. It doesn't start until after 7, so no real main course needed, this would be good to dip nachos into.

I'm 6wks pregnant with bad all day sickness. Just before dh got home from work I decided that war wonton soup sounded appetizing, so we ordered in from Jenny K's. The whole family had war wanton soup, egg rolls, fried rice, ginger chicken, beef and veggie stir-fry, and a glass of milk.

I prefer to buy Oxo, but I was in Canadian Tire wandering about while my mother was Christmas shopping. This is a handheld one by Starfrit. It cost 4.99, so it was one of those impulse buys that you can live with.

After a lovely day browsing all through the AGO ( last w/e to see the Alex Colville exhibit ) DH and I came back to Scarberia and used one of our Xmas GC's at Kelsey's. I did the sizzling fajitas thing, him the peppercorn burger, and we passed on dessert.

Well last night I wanted to treat the kids out to wings. But since they didn't really want to go out my last minute dinner was cavandish fries, delissio pizza and a chicken burger for each of them since I found 2 buns in the freezer. They were happy.

I think I will pick up ready made Prime Rib, Greek salad and roasted potatoes at our local Co-op for $10 on Wednesdays and see how we like that. Not sure how many it serves but we will see.

I have many dishes on the go for tonight. It was go big or order out lol.

Eggrolls, honey garlic meatballs, hoisin honey ribs, beef and broccoli, egg foo young, pork fried rice, Chinese chicken curry, and I think I may try a chow mein out of the leftover veggies. I also made a strawberry trifle for desert.

Leftover Chinese food from last night, there are also baked chicken thighs and raw veggies. We are meeting up with a bunch of friends at another friend's house tonight, so there will be snacks there. We'll bring some chips, pop, and vodka (for dh). Special snacks for LO too.
