Due to my overexuberance in making a rather large batch of tzatziki sauce on Sunday, we were " forced " to grill up a few more pork souvlaki skewers and have the same meal again!
Sides were a crunchy delight called Breakfast radishes and leftover steamed green beans.

DH decided we'll be eating his pan of smashed potatoes and those very large sausage type things ( Hoagies? ) They're precooked so all he has to do
is heat them though, but he likes to make the grill marks on them. Not sure what veg he'll surprise us with. Ain't it lovely to just sit and wait while someone
else makes the entire meal? It's something he really enjoys doing when off on vacation from work.

@harbie radishes have always been DH's thing. He used to plaint some every year and every at harvest I refused to eat any as they burned my tongue.
Well, these breakfast ones were so much better! I can eat them anytime. So funny, I'd never heard of them before this.

I’m with your Dh. I grew up on radishes. The hotter the better. You take a small nibble, dip in coarse salt, eat and repeat. Mmmmmmmm
I always have to plant radishes

So DH mentioned he wanted one of those sandwiches I make using the Panini press. Then he asked me what they're called? I had no idea so I asked Google and OMG! They're called a Panini!
He asked me to place a thin slice of roast beef, corned beef, tandoori chicken, grated Tex mex, slice of Swiss, slice of BD process cheese and raw onion slices into his sandwich. AND HE ATE IT! ha ha. Too rich for me, I passed. Sipped on a glass of leftover white wine from a bottle in the back room??? No idea when we opened that one. The Maple Leaf's are driving me to drink!!Last edited by walkonby; Sat, Mar 29th, 2025 at 09:03 PM.

DH is now obsessed with Panini sandwiches. He had me grill up some for the guys to take in for a work meal. I felt they would get sort of soggy
during the travel into work, plus waiting till they get their dinner break. They intend to warm them in the nuker. ( I say yuck but I told him you do you, ha ha )

Some sort of chicken dish. No BBQ or oven here so I guess that leaves pan fried chicken and fried potatoes and salad.
