Stopped by one of those car club shows. They are all over the place and we were driving by and old empty parking lot and there were about 250 cars there. DS got a real cool lesson in north american classic muscle cars. Apparently this bunch meets there every Friday night and one guy I spoke to has a car in the upcoming Transformers III movie and he told me that he hasd been contracted to have his cars in # 4, 5, 6, 7!!!! So there you have it Transformers fans. The pic. is of the car he tours with but it is the same model as the one in the movie.

I am going back next week with my good camera, I only had my phone with me. I'll post them for your son to see. He would love it! Camaros, SS, El Caminos, Challenger, Chargers, Mustangs, Corvettes(from every decade, at least 60 of them), and the 50's Chevys and Chryslers, quite a few that were painted like Christine from the Stephen King movie.

Just got off the phone with my friend. Her cousin didn't make it.

I got a few more details of what led to this nonsense. One of the group (not her cousin) accidently spilled a drink on someone at the bar. The youngsters apologized & all was well. They then left the bar. On the way back to the cabin, they ran across an individual having a loud argument on his cell. They looked to see what the noise was about & the thug screamed "What are you looking at". They ignored him & continued on their way. Sometime after that, the thug attacked her cousin.

My friend & I had a long conversation about trying to live life to the fullest cause you never know what can happen. The last few years, since I got very sick & got a second chance, I've tried to make the most of each day. Some days I succeed more than others.

I think I'm going to try a little harder to do everything I can to brighten someone's day & support anyone who asks for my help. I was given a second chance, I should make the most of it.

Sorry, if I'm rambling & not making sense. Gonna sign off & go hug the critters.

Loocie, I LOVED those chips! I just loved the chips in the foil bag, we would open it on the pleated side and eat them like that.

Are these available where you are? I absolutely love them, and it's been years since I've been able to find them here. Sometimes available in pink.
I still check 7-11 once in a while for them, they are the last place they were available.

Good morning, everyone. Still sad, but better than last night.

I've made a promise to try to do something to brighten at least one person's day, every day for the rest of my life. & try to not complain about my life ever again (don't do it often, but going to remind myself to stop next time).

Patty, have fun in Vermont! The C factory sounds great (can't say the c word or these 2 will start drooling).

Natalka, I've never had Sno Balls, so I looked it up. I found this recipe for a cloned version, ya might wanna try:

    Hostess Snowballs
    Posted by Cookin'Mom at recipegoldmine.com 2/272001 2:45 pm

    4 egg whites
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Rind of 1 lemon, finely grated
    2 cups sifted cake flour
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    2/3 cup milk
2 to 3 cups sweetened shredded coconut

    Frosting:
1 (16 ounce) package powdered sugar
    1 (7 ounce) jar JET-PUFFED Marshmallow Creme
1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 to 2 tablespoons milk

Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour muffin tins or dome shaped baking molds and set aside.
Whip the egg whites in a clean bowl until stiff but not dry and place in the refrigerator while you make the rest of the batter.
Cream the butter and add the sugar.
    Continue mixing to blend well.
Add the vanilla extract, almond extract and lemon rind and mix well.
Sift the flour 3 times with the baking powder then add it to the butter mixture alternately with the milk in 3 additions.
Fold in the whites and pour the batter into the molds, filling about 3/4 of the way up.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until batter is firm to the touch in the center.
Let cool in the pans then turn out so the top becomes the bottom (you may need to trim them a bit so they sit flat).

    Frosting:
Beat sugar, Marshmallow Creme, margarine or butter and vanilla extract with electric mixer at medium speed, beating in milk as needed to desired frosting consistency.

Place the coconut in a bowl and add 1 drop of red or green food coloring for a pale color.
Toss until food coloring is well mixed in and the coconut is the desired color.
Frost the top and sides of the cakes and dip/roll in coconut to make them look like snowballs.
    Servings: 4
