thought you might find this interesting... I was looking at the royal agricultural fair website earlier and noticed they have this new event called HORSE HOCKEY. which is just what it sounds like... hockey on horseback. sittler, paul coffey and rick vaive will be in attendance -- or on horseback, we can hope! http://royalfair.org/horse-hockey isn't that funny? & duff from "ace of cakes" will be there.

leafs are kicking it, almost as if they're shaking a curse or something, even despite their loss tonight. kessel - five goals in five games! I missed it too but apparently versteeg scored to tie the game but it was waived due to a high stick. arrr. no one seems to like the canucks; it's a lonely cheer but I like their line-up. & yeah, toews is amazing, that olympic game was lengendary!

oh, you have not seen a faux fire until you've seen faux fire 2. really hoping for a trilogy. the boxset, hahaha.

wii is such a fun console! playing mariokart on that thing was so many steps up from playing it on super nintendo years ago. not too familiar with many wii games but had a blast with all the sports games - golf, tennis, etc. what are you playing? I'm just a very occasional gamer and not into anything else at the moment. we'll race occasionally. it'd be fun to find a hockey game, haven't played one of those in ages. now that xbox & playstation are coming out with kinetic gaming I wonder how wii will fare.

still no movies to report despite having a ton here to watch! I completely forgot about prince of persia actually, that's still on the list. you just inspired me to go look through our collection actually and "faux fire 2" fell off the shelf when I opened the door. I was like "what the...?" and then remembered us buying it in HMV last year for a whopping $3. what is faux fire 2, you ask? well, it's "the ultimate virtual fireplace" of course, hahaha. oh, apartment life. it is getting cold... maybe we'll watch that this weekend.

& incase you're tempted, put away that $3 because we soon after learned rogers offers a free faux fireplace come the winter months.

any plans this weekend? it's hockey night tonight! I'm excited to finally catch the canucks playing. the leafs have been doing incredibly well; that pre-season game we saw was no indication.

I won't say I pictured you chasing him off-ice and down the hall or anything... that is so great though, good for you! sounds like a really nice event and what a perfect completion to the free jersey you scored! so cool that you just stumbled upon it too. huge bonus with sittler & clark being there!

the new halo game is fun, we get silly addicted to it and go on geeky stints where we play it 'til 3, 4 in the morning. suffice to say we finished the game already! it's a great story though, can definitely see it being made into a movie one day. the graphics in this game almost made it appear like one.

lol @ the guy behind you at the game & all the non-supportive hecklers in general. you could definitely tell the game was free. it was funny for the most part but I found it pretty poor of people to throw stuff on the ice. boo! poor toronna.

nice on the kessel jersey! a couple around me caught them and they were both phaneuf's. how oh how will you go about getting his autograph? that would be amazing if you could. & will probably result in quite the story.

same & same on the trading front. that's a great idea to donate & I'm thinking I'll do the same. hate to watch so many of them expire otherwise.

trading is going alright, bit of a lull. that trading section thread goes so quickly that my bumped post only seems to last a short while up there and not a lot of bites lately. in the midst of a small one but I don't seem to have the coupons that are in high demand right now. stouffers, chapmans, GC's, FPC's... gotta restock. how about you? I thought those olive garden ones would've gone quickly, just because I haven't seen those on any other tradelists. advantage kato. hope you've been able to make some good ones and find it worthwhile!

hey kato, how are ya? bummer I missed you at the game. we ended up driving down and subsequently arriving late too, just before the second period. I don't know how that evening turned into such a rush to get there but I swear I've never eaten a burger and fries so fast, that's how pumped we were to eat & run. worth the stomach ache, lol.

it was a blast! versteeg was fun to watch, shame schenn wasn't on. rosehill looked like he wanted to pick a few fights! the guys behind me were hilarious, yelling "PASS, PASS THE PUCK" to kaberle after getting tired of screaming "SHOOT, SHOOT!" at him for the first two periods. that was before they yelled "I want my money back!" the videotron antics were pretty funny too. you know it's good when betty white makes a cameo!

sorry for the slow reply, I've only been on SC in really short stints the past week. thank you so much for the greenworks offer! coincidentally enough I possibly have some coming my way in a trade so I'll have no need for more but I appreciate the thought all the same! hoping for some future greenworks deals... and to start finding them around this area again. they mysteriously disappeared from loblaws, no frills & SDM's shelves to be replaced by "tide free" in a similiar looking bottle. hmph.

I'm excited for this game tonight! it's likely the only game I'll see this season so I be pumped. maybe I'll see you at the game all the same tonight -- I'll be wearing a boring ol' biege sweater and black pants most likely... not necessarily a unique characteristic but if you see that on a short girl with dreads tied up in a bun, please feel free to say hey! talk soon either way.
