Me too, prob won't get going til after xmas? I think its handy to know that your nose can tell you if clean pool or not? I am shy in those places but once there & in water it is so much fun & even overweight there are fellas still talking to this old chicky which really surprised me & made it easier to muster gumption to go each time. I like how the water "masks" some probs & you can move around better sometimes than on dry land. It supports you & buoys you up so much that when you get out of water you feel like you just instanly gained 200 lbs by comparison! For me I am more uncomfy doing aerobics classes! Guys come n watch ev1 bouncing around & makes me self concious. I don't like aerobics, too hard on the boobs! I live in area near a park but ride there is on Main St. Used to love going to park several times a week to fish off the dock after work. Haven't done that in ages...maybe this year?

If your pool smells really strong like cholrine, I wouldn't swim there. Physio told me that means pool is dirty and chlorine is hard at work and that's why you smell it. I've been in two pools that don't stink like chlorine and my clothes don't either. Sometimes I wear short over my suit in winter especially and they still get bleached so I know they are using chlorine, just don't smell it cause their pools were kept so clean. Our PanAm pool caretaker told the hospital that when complimenting the hospital on the cleanliness of their pool when there themselves for treatment.

Yep, amazing what one accident can do to a person and their lifestyle!

Many pools are getting better both with chlorine use and water temperature. I won't go for public open swim but something like an aquasize class with only a handful of folks is great! The YM/YWCA here will let you wear a wrap or even a t-shirt over your suit in the pool, so long as colourfast and doesn't leach die. The Y and some others with pools will also let you apply to have the costs reduced if you are on a reduced budget, so to speak. Many will make special exception for those that have medical needs too. I am working on arranging pool and gym time. I have zero income but need access to these things. I'll let you know how I do, maybe you can try see if TO is same if something less public and less crowded is more attractive? So important to do physical activity. I don't care what I look like when it comes to trying to stay healthy. If they don't like what they see then they don't have to look?! Chances are most are no big prize themselves, so who cares? Now if I had to share pool with Christie Brinkly or something that would be different! Usually mostly people around our ages and older in those classes. You will be group hottie most likely?!

think I'll be glad if that is one plus from being sick. Too bloated right now to tell, grrr! No meds yet, hubby has to drop off Rx. My pain killer mask much of the pain. Probably why I took so long to get looked at? Glad your back is mending!!! Haven't had that happen in years, thank goodness! My back stopped bugging me once I started working out more. Don't know that we have same sort probs when our backs go out tho? Sedentary jobs I had weren't good on me, I need to move around more or I rust up LOL

I went to the hospital. They gave me Rx and said they would call after results all in. Some sort infection tho anyway? Well, at least I have some medicine now! Thanks for push! I don't like going to hospital either but sometimes you have to.

1Shooter! could be right? Sometimes chiropractors can do wonders with backs. Most of them will let you know if treatment will be beneficial or not. I had one once tell me he couldn't help and I should go to hospital. Most others helped, only one made me worse by fixing one problem and agrivating another but he meant well. Stuff happens.

Sorry to hear about your back. I've done that a few times myself...always wait a few days, hoping it'll go away, then call the chiropractor. I've never believed in them....but he hasn't failed me yet. Just a thought. Hope you feel better soon. *hug*

Hard to tell how ill you are sometimes when taking Rx's for pain daily. I'm getting twinges in kidney area even thru the pain meds. Ya, might go to hospital but will see if the Envoy home visiting docs are covering my area again yet (they've been short staffed and only working core area lately - tougher part of town) but if they still won't come guess could cab to emergency? Ugh, hate sitting in there for hours n hours but better than hanging around hospital later for dialysis?!
