Yesterday, cold and drizzling off and on.
This morning when I got up it was THREE degrees with humidity at 99%.
Now it's 12, supposed to get to 17. Sun off and on.
They are predicting more warming over the next few days, into the 20s.

teeheehee. I had to share this one.
As some of you might know, SW Ontario has had a very atypical weather year. We had THE coldest hardest winter in 50 years followed by a very cool and wet this summer (where we normally have hot and humid and sunny summers). Our temperatures are moderated by the Great Lakes but over the winter, the Great Lakes froze so hard that experts said they wouldn't reach "normal" temperatures til mid-September (hence, our summer has been very cool!)
In many ways, it's like we've traded the weather with the Prairies because it sounds like they've gotten our scorching heat.
Anyhoo...environment Canada just posted this lovely gem today. It's a "Heat Warning" which reads as follows:
Warnings
3:08 PM EDT Monday 25 August 2014
Heat Warning in effect for:
- London - Parkhill - Eastern Middlesex County
- Strathroy - Komoka - Western Middlesex County
A hot and humid airmass is expected to affect portions of southwestern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe on Tuesday. Humidex values near 40 are forecast for Tuesday afternoon. A cold front will sweep across the area Tuesday night bringing a return to near seasonal temperature values for the remainder of the week.
So-in other words-- SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED TO SW ONTARIO????
(But only for one day and then it's gone again???)

^ yesterday was like that here, just nice.
Today, predicted to go to 29, 33 with humidex.
However, it won't feel like that same ucky hotness of a month ago, so it should be fine for me.

Drizzly, warm but who cares, if it's drizzly.....cloudy.....yucky.....with more yuckiness to come.
Followed by more of the same through September, followed by more snow and lower temperatures this winter.
Sigh...time to plan more indoor projects....Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Aug 27th, 2014 at 02:02 PM.
