I must say, though, I've been chagrined at some of what I've seen on SC recently.... some rude, snarky, uncalled-for comments sometimes posted which are totally vexing... why don't people think before they post?

online disagreements...online differences of opinions...online misunderstandings, SURE, but an out and out fight????? NAH!!!

I avoid conflict at every opportunity. I may occasionally cause a problem but It's usually not intentional, and if someone confronted me about something I posted, I would most likely apologize and try to explain my position and try to make it right!!

Many things can be interpreted many ways which is one problem of posting. However, there are indeed many examples of
what you describe,and unintentionally I could very well be guilty.

I agree I dont see very much of what Natalka has said either.. its a shame its happening though.. rude posts should be reported, everytime.

I havent really ONLINE fought. I remember once when I was in college, an old highschool friend wrote on a picture that wastagged of me and went on and on about me in such a rude way. we had a little "facebook fight" lol! but other then that .. not really... i mean, there are people i am not fond of, but i just dont talk to them, in person or online.

I`ve never had an argument with anyone online, even if I thought said individual was an idiot, er, less than stellar creature. Even when I had personal knowledge of an individual`s less than stellar character, I remained civil & avoided any private correspondence (on another forum).

I`m sure I have been guilty of posting things that might come across as offensive to some, maybe cause I have a twisted sense of humour or was having an off day, but it is never my intent to insult anyone (except in the Game Room, where teasing is mandatory ).

It is interesting - & very sad - how easily some folks can misinterpret things & immediately assume the worst. I have noticed recently that there seem to be a few individuals who post & seem as if they`ve had a few too many.

There is one person on here who I can't stand, every post they make is so offensive or rude. But I would never fight online. Sometimes if I'm in a bad mood I'll make a hot-headed remark to someone being rude but it never turns into a fight.

I wouldn't call it an online argument, but i've been offended and hurt online by people before, and on this site it's happened. I never reported it because i saw many people pass through that thread, a mod, other members. I thought it was obvious what was said was hurtful and most of all WRONG, i guess not. Some people are just allowed to get away with anything, sorry not trying to argue, just not about to bite my tongue either.

i have had many disagreements with people online, and the only times i would say i had fights online were with a very "special" ex of mine... also the father of my child, since then if we need to talk its over the phone, txt, or email... he has no access to my fb or msn, and its been for the better

regarding this forum, i do believe that some people instantly assume the worst (been guilty of it as well) and it is hard to read something and not put your own attitude with it... i do not think that we need to point fingers and figure out specifically who people are talking about... this is not going to help the issues... and really honestly why go behind someones back? why not deal with your issue with this person, with the help of a mod... and then let it be... if you post (or pm) bad mouthing about a member you can and possibly will get in trouble... i think it is rather childish to be pming names and as far as i know it is not allowed
