NS, pull a Dr Phil...he says if children start acting out to a point you cannot handle strip their room so all they have is a bed and blanket and let them slowly earn everything back. I know it sounds extreme but it might be an option if he still keeps this up

Thanks bumble I belong to facebook and do the harpercollins but on their site, couldn't find it on facebook but did sign up to review a book just now on the site.

Ns that sounds like a great idea can't very well trash something if he has nothing to work with.

Amy have my toes and fingers crossed for you!!! I was so lucky getting a daughter then a son lmao I woulda been royally po'd if I'd had to have a 3rd, not sure I would have. With both kids I refused to find out what their sex was with the ultrasounds, so it was a very pleasant surprise both times.

LOLcat I feel for you and wish I had a remedy to tell you but I went thru the same thing when I was pregnant with my ds. 7 months of it only I didn't just have the nausea for some reason I had diarrhea to go along with it. Probably the constant irritation to my GI tract with the nausea. I tell ds he was even irritating b4 he was born lol.
Got all my the present wrapped today except for the last two I'm still waiting on. So glad to get that done as I usually wait until the last second.

    Tourtiere Recipe #1 (my mom's)

1 lb ground pork and 1/2 lb ground beef
1 med to large onion, chopped finely
1 tsp salt ( I add less and adjust later if needed)
1 garlic clove, minced or 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup to 2/3 cup water

Seasonings are approx as my mom didn't write it down:
1/2 tsp sage, 1/2 tsp thyme and 1/4 tsp black pepper
Pinch (1/8 tsp?) ground cloves - I use Allspice instead
    2 - 9" pie crusts (I buy frozen; can't make crust)

    Heat oven 425F
In large pot, mix beef, pork, onion, water & seasonings.
Bring it to a boil; stir once in awhile. Lower heat & simmer
till meat is no longer pink (8 to 10 min). Taste for
    seasoning & adjust if needed.

Fill bottom crust with meat. Top with other crust; crimp
edges together & cut a couple of slits for steam to escape.
(I brush the top with beaten egg)

Cover the edges with foil (prevents crust from browning
too quickly), bake 20 - 25 min. Remove foil & continue
to bake another 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.

    My memere's tourtiere recipe

1/2 lb each of ground beef, pork & veal
    1 onion, chopped
    1/3 cup water
    1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cloves, cinnamon, celery salt & savory
    1 potato or 2, boiled & mashed
    2 - 9" pie crust

    Heat oven to 425F
Put meat & onion & water in large pot. Simmer till meat is no
longer pink. Add seasonings, simmer about 15 to 20 min.
(Taste & adjust seasoning if necessary)

Drain meat (I don't) Mix in mashed potato; mix well.
Pour into bottom crust, add top crust & vent top. (Again,
I brush beaten egg over top - and use foil strips)

Bake 15 min (remove foil) & lower temperature to 400F &
return to oven & continue to bake another 20 to 25 min.
    or until golden brown.

The above recipes have been adjusted to suit our taste -
and improvised since measurements weren't written down.
    Hope you enjoy.

PS If you don't like the taste of cloves or allspice, you can
substitute more sage, savory, etc. However, I think
once you taste it, you'll discover how tasty it is.

lolcat have you tried ginger? I have bouts of nausea and I chew
on small bits of candied ginger. And flat ginger ale seems to help as well.
    (Vernor's is great)

I did that once by accident.

I received 3 gorgeous cards in the mail yesterday. They were from an online friend who loves Supernatural as much as I do. She made me homemade cards with Jared and Jensen on them. I'm going to frame them.

lolcat: ugh. i had to take the pills. tried so hard to go w/o, but i was so sick i couldn't eat, felt like dying. so i'm glad i did, but it was only morning sickness. your too far along for that aren't u ? or does it occur every trimester?

i think only my 2nd trimester was a breeze...
I agree with Amy on the "bare bones" just a bed and blanket thing. My mom did that to a few of her foster kids who were very destructive and it seemed to work most of the time.

I do not disagree at all with taking the morning sickness pills, thats for sure! I had a friend who threw up so much she was ADMITTED to hospital 4x in 2 months, which is crazy. They put her on the diclectin just so she could function, which is what it sounds like it was for you too. My sickness IS far along in pregnancy, which makes them think it is something besides the morning sickness. They did a whole battery of blood tests, and I should hear back in the next couple days. Which was terrible, since I have hard to find veins, AND was dehydrated. My arms look like someone beat the crap out of me.

I have tried tons of ginger stuff, even the candied ginger (which I love!) and I am obsessed with Vernor's! That stuff is crazy good! I remember the first time I tried it when I moved here, I had never tasted anything like it.

And I do have the other problem besides the nausea too... the doctor thinks that is because I just had my gallbladder out in the late summer time, and my body hasn't fully recovered from that yet. I never had that problem with either of the daughters, which makes me think that is true.
Sigh. Having babies is really hard! LOL

very cool racefan. I need to get my Christmas Cards done by this weekend. I haven't sent out any since the xmas before Katrina am so ashamed of myself for not keeping in touch with my aunts especially, they are really getting up there in age and would hate losing them without having let them know they still matter very much to me. The first year was just too soon after and we'd just finally gotten into our first place since katrina a couple weeks before xmas. We spent that month fighting holiday crowds just to get the essentials to live. The last couple years I've had no excuse at all and haven't even wrote them back could just slap myself lol but I really hate writing letters anymore. What to say I've not been busy lol just talk to online friends and piddle around the house doing chores lmao and oh yes twice a week I get to go to the drs. I want to work with that program that has the stationary with it and see if I can put some pics in it it's a word program not sure if I can since I don't really know what all its capable of.
