Hi guys!
When I was a little girl, I had a mug that was very special. It had a little ceramic kitten INSIDE the mug at the bottom. On the top inside lip of the mug, it said "Drink all your milk, and the kitten will appear". Who knows what happened to it... I am trying really hard to find something like this, and have found a couple online, but not for kids (I want one each for the girls) They are more 'grown-up coffee mug' style ones.
Has anyone seen anything like this in person?
I found a GREAT site, pretty much the only site that has them, here is a link so that even if you don't know what I mean, you can see them, and probably love the idea like I do.

OMG I know... we went in there one time, and they have all that British candy that I love, all the cadbury stuff that you don't see here.. I got so sugared up my eyes were blurry. LOL
You can give cats a tiny bit of margarine, or even better, olive oil, in their food if they have very hard stools. Sometimes older cats get them because they tend not to drink enough water. Maybe you could try giving her some low-salt chicken broth to get her to drink more?
One thing you can count on, is that they will put you up in a decent enough hotel that the people at the desk will know where you can go to shop. H&M is my favorite, favorite store of all time too.. we just got one here in London before Christmas, and I was so happy.. I hadn't been in one since I moved here from the states. They have the cutest stuff for the girls too.. I can only go in there once in a while or I'd be broke.

I got a funny story to share. LMAO. We got this parrot who has no plucked all the feathers out of its body except for the wings. Well This bird got to where it hissed awhile lot. and I would tease hubby about it after I looked up and found it was a parrots mating call. Well there is a wooden duck toy in the parrots cage. And the parrot has "feelings" for this duck.I give hubby a hard time often and say the bird is actually a girl and wants him. Tonight hubby starts yelling OMG OMG JENNIFER LOOK WHAT HANKS DONE!! I walk over and I be danged if that dang parrot didnt go and lay an egg. I was dying laughing. I said he aint hateful she's a beotch!!! Hubby is so destraught over this and I am rolling.

yep am just hoping that it is close enough to the stores haha
H&M is the best store on the planet I was in there for maybe 10min at the eaton centre when we were on a school trip but none of my group wanted to hang around and shop in there because they were all preps that wanted to go spend $100 on a hoodie at friggen american eagle or whatever store it is i dont even know LOL
just hoping that maybe the hotel is close enough to one of the 8 H&M's they have in TO so i can go spend my shopping money there since we are supposed to get $300 spending moneyI could spend it easily at H&M

Could be something irritated along her intestine. If the stools are hard, she's likely dehydrated. Does she drink lots of water? Cats in general don't drink as much as they should. Take a piece of meat (any kind, whatever she likes) & boil the daylights out of it in lots (I do mean LOTS) of water. Give her the "btoth" to drink, a little at a time. Some cats like it warm, some at room temp, then there's my cat & dog who like "popsicles".
Organ meat (liver, etc) or soup bones are fairly cheap & will do the trick. I go to the store & see what they have on discount cause the time's almost up. I also go to a local butcher & spend like $2, & they give me a big bag of bones.
Just watch out that you don't get attacked by all the critters climbing all over you to get to the pot. Oh, & if you go for the liver, beware that the aroma doesn't knock you cold. Pe-ew!
Hope your kitty feels better. It's always worrying when they don't feel well.

Rose, once you know where you're staying, let me know. I live not too far from the train Station (short bus ride or very long walk), so I know downtown well. & the transit system is not too complex, once you get the hang of it.
I've got previous commitments for part of Wed, but can always try to meet you for dinner, if you want company. I'm free Thurs if you need a tour guide.

I know there are lots of folks with little ones on here. Does anyone want a coupon for a free sample of Enfamil & a $3 off coupon (exp Dec 31, 2009)?
A couple of months ago, I signed up for some baby stuff cause my neighbour (a social worker) worked at a home for teen mothers, thinking her clients could use some help. Unfortunately, her husband got a job transfer & they've since moved, & the coupons just arrived in the mail. Let me know if you want them, & I'll send them out ASAP. Otherwise I'll post them on the coupon trade list & see if anyone needs them.

that's good advice there andit. she has been peeing TONS, i know. i slipped in it..when tues? but since then her amt has been less (still in inappropriate places). i'm going to try that suggestion. we got an extra pkg of liver in basment i'm sure i can spare a piece. heck she might even eat it if it's soft enuf. am going to get dh to grab her that wiskers cat milk, and give her some sips of it. not too much cause i think it maybe too rich for her. and we are putting her back on her regular cat food which seemed to contain more water. was giving her the iams kitten foood thinking where she's thin and frail, she needs the xtra calories but that could be what's throwing her off.
we haven't seen any blood yet this am. but she hasn't gone potty yet. she's been sleeping most of the am. she's so luvable that you hate to put her down if there's anything you can do ya know? but face it, she's 19, now way would she survive an operation. so as long as she's not suffering i don't mind cooking stinky liver and sending the hubby out in a storm for her favorite food.
(did i mention it's SNOWING here? the forecast said, flurries and rain. that's not flurires, and it's definitely not rain. i donno wot that weather man is drinking, but it's too early and it's a sunday, he should be a church praying for spring).
i have to go take mom shopping. she's wants me to come "visit" her bears. (the singing ones i got). then take her to zellers so she can get a western sandwich.
be honest, i can't wait to see the bear..
i was up at 5, but then it was really 6 i think..Last edited by NSangel; Sun, Mar 8th, 2009 at 09:18 AM.
