Change of plans - went to make supper, discovered husband forgot to take ground beef out of freezer this morning. Duh.
So we're having pasta with mushroom sauce, fried bologna and onions, and beans. Leftover KFC salads.

I've trained hubby well. He eagerly does the whole dinner now from shopping to prep, cooking, serving and cleanup! He even gives me a 3 minute warning before it's put on the table in case I'm right in the middle of posting something.

Tonight was rotini with broccoli rabe (rapini) and hot italian sausage meat from our favourite Italian deli. Besides some red and yellow peppers it also has some raisins that were soaked in some hot broth for a while to plump them up. The sweet raisins contrast nicely with the slightly bitter and peppery broccoli rabe. One batch makes 8 servings so we have lots for the freezer.

Ground beef casserole. Boring, but yummy - with lots of veggies shoved in it, served with leftover pasta from yesterday.
