I'm thankful that my kids are healthy.
DD had a health scare, and if her results were bad, then she would have been facing a different outcome today, but thankfully she is fine, and her lymph node is shrinking, and she is able to start/continued school today.
So I'm extremely thankful for her health.Last edited by LuvToUseCoupons; Tue, Sep 2nd, 2014 at 12:20 PM.

SO thankful for Starbucks coffee today...because I am stupid and I need it.
All summer I have been lazy--staying up late and sleeping in til 8:30. I should've begun preparing a few days ago for the back-to-school routine but things have been so crazy here that I didn't have the choice but to keep staying up late and working late.
This morning was KILLER.
It's 2pm now and I feel hungover! Wish I could say I had a wild night of binge drinking to warrant this awful feeling...but I can't say that. We moved furniture.

Thankful for very tolerant roommates who are putting up with my lack of energy today. My sweet pup skipped her afternoon walk so I could nap (well, the desire to avoid the rain and the puddles might also have been a factor ).

Thankful (oddly enough) that I did NOT get a full time position this semester. I mean, money is gonna be tight, I know, but man, have I ever enjoyed being home to get the kids on the bus and off the bus, and to have time to run after they go to school, and to have time to sneak a nap in the covered outdoor swing on a warm afternoon and falling asleep to the sound of crickets chirping and insects buzzng in the bush.

I know exactly how you feel, I was in the same position. Things were rough with me at home, but it sure was worth it.
Really found out just how much years later when our son was a teen and said how absolutely wonderful it was to have me at home - in the morning, and after school - and he just knew I was there if he needed me. He also explained the difference he thought it made in how he was raised, so many of his classmates were 'lost' and not close with their families. In elem. I did a lot of volunteering at his school as well.
Today I'm thankful for laughter in my life.
