I am thankful for my hot breakfast, warm boots and coat.

Thankful today to be on day one of my diet (my bestie at work and I joined the biggest loser competition). We are both motivating ourselves to make better food choices, and are now trying to increase our activity (even a short walk to the store). I dont care if she or I dont win, we both want to lose some excess poundage, and if we can drop some weight, thats success for both of us.

Life, knowing that each day may be trying at times, and I may not be firing on all my cylinders, but DW still loves me, along with the rest of my family. Coming on to SC and being encouraged by others posts.

I am thankful that I made it successfully in another trip around the sun - and I had a fabulous birthday yesterday - partly thanks to wonderful SCers who left kind messages and greetings!

I am thankful to be able to help my Granddaughter and baby out. They are living with us now and she has applied to on-line university classes.

This key ring has work keys, mail box keys, garage keys and house keys.
Was frantically calling all the places I visited yesterday. Yesterday, was trying to do a week's worth of work on my "day off" (worked Saturday).

Lesson learned -- try not to cram too much into one day.

I'm thankful for those here on SC who left me messages and sent me hugs - with lots of understanding - after the loss of my kitty yesterday - it's been a tough time for me. I've held the other two kitties a lot more today, and have been spoiling them as much as I can.

For the unusual, but very welcome, sense of calm and peace I've been experiencing for the past 10 days. I had a great meeting with my advisor, and since then everything has seemed do-able, especially the thesis. I've been working on it each day with a smile on my face. Folks around me can't seem to believe I'm really this cheerful and upbeat as I'm normally more of a dark humour and cautiously optimistic kind of person...

I am thankful the diets working for my bestie and me (aside from the nacho-and-pepsi-hiccup I had over the weekend ). My friend has lost 6 pounds, 2 for me since the biggest loser competition started.

Also thankful we are in February - DS has his birthday tomorrow, DH on the 22nd, me then my DD on the 25th. Birthday season has begun!

I am so happpppppy! The nurse changed my daughters dressing this morning so i could really see her foot. It looks amazing. She will prob. be home tomorrow!
Our lives will return to a small semblance of normal... so grateful.
