Steak and potato! And veggies and a splash of Pinot Noir. The beef tenderloin from Costco is usually less than $20/kilo and it is so worth it. I made the mistake of buying some "mystery" tenderloin from T&T a few months ago and will never make that mistake again.

Zesty Spaghetti la Puttanesca

Well today was fun!
We started the day with a Montreal style bagel...I had sesame with feta and spinach cream cheese. Then we went for gyros, I had the chicken gyro with greek fries and then we went to cold stone creamery where I had the birthday cake remix ice cream Mmmmm and we were so full from everything that we didn;t have supper and had my bday cake when we got home. Bday cake was a chocolate and vanilla mouse cake on top of a choc fudge sponge cake it was yummy and oh so filling!

DH wanted sushi so that's what we had and it was oh so yummy .
I really do have to cook tomorrow though

Tonight is melanzane alla parmigiana (eggplant parmesan). I doing everything (including the sauce) from scratch, so it's going to take a long time - but it'll be worth it!

tonight we'll be throwing some lick's veggie burgers on the barbecue with all the fixins... caramalized onions, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, etc. on the side will be either a light ceaser salad or chili sweet potato fries. right now my stomach's voting sweet potato fries!

eggplant is my favourite veggie. I love to put in it curries, but I always screw it up (it easily disintegrates).

But, this dish is a no-fail.
