I don't have a BBQ so I "bake" a lot of my meat in the oven. Yup even steak.
Last thing I baked was banana muffins"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than You." - Dr. Seuss

I feel like I do a lot less baking in the summer. Too hot for me. I bake constantly in winter and fall though. Last thing I baked was a cheesecake topped with fresh fruits. I think I am going to make an apple or strawberry rhubarb pie sometime soon.

6 cakes. I was asked to make a farm cake for my papa's surprise 80th bday. Only needed 5, but one kept crumbling when I was decorated that I got so mad I picked it up and in the garbage it went.

Blueberry tarts - yummmmm
Bought the Tenderflake tart shells, used fresh berries. No recipe, just berries, a teeny tiny amt of sugar and a bit of flour to thicken the juice...bake till tart shells are golden.

Ditto on the banana bread - the bananas on the counter need a few more days to do, though!

the next thing I want to bake is a strawberry pizza.
I haven't made it before, but it's basically:
a chocolate cookie crumb crust
softened cream cheese blended with sugar to taste;
fold in some whipped cream
sliced fresh LOCAL strawberries - lots
glaze it with favorite flavour of jelly - melted with a bit of water on stove
can be drizzled with chocolate syrup, slivered almonds, more whipped cream, etc.
(Kraft.ca has the official recipe, I believe.)
think I'll make this tomorrow night for a Canada Day BBQ.

I made Canada Day cupcakes this morning. I used Betty Crocker cherry cake mix (for the red and white effect) and decorated them with red icing and sprinkles. I didn't make it from scratch though, so I'm not sure if it's worthy of being in this thread, haha.

The last thing I baked was a cookie pizza with my niece for Father's Day. It was extremely sweet....and her Dad loved it!! LOL It is extremely easy to make, and she could do herself except for putting in the oven.

You are so funny, I am a from scratch cook, but I promise you, I DO HAVE instant food in the house! (huge grin!)
If it tastes good ... only you know!
FYI there is a cake extender recipe on Recipezaar.com
I have used it and it works for extending those cake mixes just fine!
