When I was on the BT Toronto website, I had seen a video link to Frank Ferragine's tips for starting seeds indoors. It's probably early but for some seeds, now flower seeds seem like a good idea, in readiness for April.

daffodil bulbs are about 2" through the ground. Helleborus are just starting to bloom. Lots of new growth on my Japanese Anemone. Lily of Valley is poking through too. Getting excited. A new growing season is starting.

Already flowers are showing up? Now I'm expecting you to tell me when the cherry blossoms appear!
Mild mushy day in Southern Ontario and it's about to return to windchill/freeze. Could be a good night to get into the container gardening book that's waiting for some attention.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

My sister is on holiday in BC right now, and keeps sending this 'annoying' pics of flowers and plants, and green spaces... lol! Woke up this morning here to -38 w/c, which I'm sure she doesn't miss - they are there til the weekend, just when it should warm up here a bit.
Not outdoors, but I got a beautiful pink hyacinth for my birthday, one just fully bloomed and a little one is just coming. The smell is SO wonderfully intoxicating!Last edited by Natalka; Wed, Feb 4th, 2015 at 06:11 PM.

My yard is empty now. But I have planted many flowers' seeds. Hope they'll bloom next year.

Oh....how I wish something were blooming or at least shooting out of the ground.
If it's any consolation, my allergies are starting up.
I know, it's not much, but when I went to our doc last year, I said, "But it's ONLY February!!"|...he said, "Yes...that's when all of you people start coming in!"...apparently WE, not some rodent, signal the coming Spring!!
Keep your hopes up high!!!Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Feb 11th, 2015 at 11:27 PM.
